How is the Honda Amaze 2nd Gen car?

    • Pros

      • Spacious interiors - Fairly roomy overall, the rear seat is quite comfortable
      • Big boot - The 420 litres of space can swallow up a family's holiday trip luggage
      • Refined motors - Honda's renowned smooth/fuel-efficient motors with CVT convenience
      • NCAP rating - The Amaze makes a strong case for itself with a four-star NCAP rating
      • Ease of driving - Light controls, superior visibility and a comfortable ride
    • Cons

      • Fit/finish in some areas - Lower sections of the cabin aren't up to Honda standards
      • Features for the price - At the price point, there are some features missing
      • Rear headroom - Tall occupants may find the headroom restrictive at the rear

Honda Amaze 2nd Gen Convenience and Technology

    3.5Expert Rating

    4.3User Rating (453)

5 USP Features of the Honda Amaze:

    • Big boot - The biggest USP of a sedan is a big and spacious boot. And, the Amaze also gets a 420 litre boot capacity.
    • Adjustable front headrests - Unlike the previous model of the Amaze that had fixed headrests, the latest iteration gets adjustable ones in the front row – for both driver and passenger.
    • AT gets paddle shifters - The paddle shifters offered with the seven-step CVT give you that extra control and engagement.
    • Honda connectivity - Honda has its own connectivity app named 'Honda Connect' for owners to get updates not just about the Amaze but also other information from the brand including service, offers, spares, etc.
    • 10-year warranty - Honda offers an anytime 10-year warranty on the Amaze which is a first in the industry. It's also transferable to the next owner of the car.

    Features Missing:

    • The Honda Amaze isn't very tech-savvy and misses out on a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charger, air purifier, ambient lighting, and sunroof.
    • Also, the analogue-digital instrument cluster looks outdated in a day and age when everyone has moved to fully digital displays.

    Honda Amaze 2nd Gen Safety

    3.8Expert Rating
    • The sedan gets the usual set of safety features and doesn't get anything exceptional or ground-breaking like ADAS or any other innovation.
    • Notwithstanding, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Isofix child seat mounts, and parking sensors are standard as a part of the safety suite across the variants.
    • In addition, the top-of-the-line trims get a reverse camera as well.
    • Do note that we do not have the latest crash test scores of the Amaze. But earlier, the South Africa-spec India-made Honda Amaze (with two airbags) had scored four stars for adult occupant safety and one star for child safety. The body shell and footwell area were considered stable.

Honda Amaze 2nd Gen Interior and Exterior Styling

    3.5Expert Rating
    |
    4.5User Rating (453)
    • Beige-black interior: Whichever trim one chooses, the Amaze is offered in a beige and black theme inside.
    • Silver accents: Except for the entry-level E variant that gets ivory accents inside, all other variants get silver-coloured panels on the dashboard.
    • Only fabric upholstery offered: Prospective buyers cannot have leatherette seats with the Amaze and only fabric seats are available even in the top-spec variant. However, the leatherette seats could have upped the luxury and premium feel inside the cabin.

    • "Two Years with the Honda Amaze: Reliable, Comfortable, and Ready for Every Day"
After driving my 2nd-gen Honda Amaze for two years, I’ve grown to appreciate its practicality and reliability. The 1.2-litre petrol engine is smooth for city driving, and the CVT gearbox makes navigating traffic effortless. While not the fastest on highways, it offers comfortable cruising. The ride quality is surprisingly good, handling bumps smoothly, although the car feels a bit light at high speeds. Fuel efficiency averages around 13–14 km/l in the city and improves on highways, saving money on daily commutes. Inside, the cabin feels spacious, especially the rear seats, which offer good legroom for passengers. The 420-litre boot is roomy for weekend trips. The infotainment system is functional but a bit dated, and road noise can increase at higher speeds. Overall, the Amaze has been a dependable companion—low maintenance, comfortable, and efficient. It may not excite, but it’s a car I trust every day without worries. This balance of reliability and practicality makes it a great choice for daily use.

    • Worse
Everything is bad. Fit and finish are very cheap. Honda uses very cheap materials. Noise from everywhere. Steering is very heavy, hard, feeling worse than manual. Mileage is very low. About 11 km per litre. Don't buy.

    • Good color options, fuel efficiency, automatic gear option
Last year end we purchased the vehicle after much consideration. After test-driving a few cars, I liked the Amaze much better than the others. Went for a long drive to Kerala, and the fuel efficiency is top-notch. Fuel efficiency-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Driving experience-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buying experience-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ VFM-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Design-⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's a VFM family car(sedan) with good color options, fuel efficiency, automatic gear option, and build quality.

    • Amazing about Amaze
Honda Amaze deserves no commendation. Brand Honda speaks for itself, not to talk of copy cats Tigor, Nexon whatever. Only issue is I want to highlight that while going uphill on a bumpy rough road. It seems the car is little bit underpowered. On plain roads there is no comparison to it.
