The VF7 is undeniably fast, handling bumps beautifully with a mature, European-feeling ride quality. But a car is more than its 0–100 km/h time. Until VinFast irons out the software bugs, fixes the cabin ergonomics, and builds a mature, reliable service network with local parts availability, I cannot recommend this car. It is a massive gamble for a premium price tag.

I am probably one of the owners from the first batch (Purchased car in September 2025) and have driven almost 12000 kms. The dual motor variant is an absolute beast in performance, with actual 0- 100 km/h even faster than the company claimed; the same is the case with fast charging, where I have seen DC fast charging speeds up to 116 kWh. The car is solid in build and feels planted and reassuring to drive. Also, the handling is very good and very similar to German cars. I was getting not-so-good range, but once the car crossed 2000 kms, the BMS calibrated and I saw an increase in range, which comes to around 420-450 for the AWD variant. Regarding after-sales and service, the brand needs to do a lot as the service centres are not totally equipped right now and they lack basic trained staff, spare parts are also taking a lot of time to come as they are all back ordered from Vietnam, however, the service is still getting ramped up with time, and hopefully the service experience is not the final one from the company.

Three months and over 3,400 km in, the VF7 Wind Infinity has delivered a genuinely premium ownership experience — strong on design, cabin quality and core driving comfort, with real-world range that holds up reasonably well once temperature and driving style are accounted for. The principal gaps lie outside the car itself: the companion app needs urgent attention, and after-sales service remains an unknown quantity at this stage. On balance, this remains a confident, well-rounded package for the price.• No software glitches have surfaced to date; the interface is fluid, intuitive and easy to operate. • The 12.29-inch display is sharp, crisp and responsive, with virtually no lag. • LED projector headlamps are bright and make night driving comfortable, while automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers add welcome convenience. • ADAS 2 performs reliably and accurately, although it sees limited use, largely as a matter of personal preference. • The front and rear warning system works well, and automatic emergency braking engages firmly and immediately when required — experienced twice to date. • The 360-degree camera delivers crisp resolution, with side-view feeds activating automatically below 18 km/h when the indicators are engaged. • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect seamlessly; the system has frozen only once during the ownership period, resolved quickly with a long press of the volume knob. • The battery indicator shows a peculiar 1% drop between the charged level and the level once driving begins — for instance, a charge to 80% reads as 79% after the first 200–300 metres — most likely attributable to consumption during the parked state; this is now factored into range planning as a matter of routine. • Charging habits stay disciplined: the battery is typically kept between 30% and 80% state of charge, with a full 100% charge used only four times over the past three months. • Most charging happens overnight, either through a 7.4 kW AC charger available within the residential society or the supplied 3.3 kW AC charger at home. • DC fast chargers — ChargeZone, Jio-bp and Statiq, ranging from 60 to 120 kW — have been used only four times during this period, and never for a full charge. • No major issues have surfaced across charging networks; an isolated fault at a ChargeZone unit was resolved simply by reconnecting the charging gun. • The complimentary V-Green charging network remains untested so far and will be assessed properly as the network expands. • Dealership staff have been consistently warm and courteous throughout the ownership journey. • A comprehensive e-warranty booklet is built into the app and is well worth a thorough read to fully understand the vehicle’s coverage terms. Areas of Improvement: • The VinFast companion app’s remote-control feature is unreliable and rarely connects, rendering it effectively non-functional; the app as a whole needs meaningful improvement, particularly given how central a dependable app has become for today’s tech-savvy buyers. • Service centre efficiency is yet to be tested first-hand, despite a centre being available locally; the expanding dealership network is encouraging, but after-sales experience remains an open question for now.

The sky variant is incredibly quick!! Overtaking can be done very effortlessly. The suspension is on the stiffer side, but it makes cornering very efficient and you can feel zero understeer. Great features and great music speakers. Definitely recommend to buy this car.
