Worst car ever bought, got to change both the back tyres again within 11000 kms run, front disc brks rubbed down within 5000 km got no response from d feedbck units of ur company after telling them my problm, n seeing above in d commnts section soooo many complains regarding this same prblm are seen. This isnt my 1st luxurious car. Not happy with toyota crysta n ur service. If u feel guilty or want ur brand name n reputation in the market to b d same then kindly take an action for this. Thnking you.

Brought the top end automatic last year, have driven more than 70,000 km already. Even with regular servicing at every 10,000km and wheel alignment at every 5000 km the car isn't comfortable for long drives as the old innova, however it is sophisticated with electronics and has a good drive response. The ride is bumpy and jerky.

Before buying innova crysta check the tyre blast problem of the vehicle in the net. The company is telling that it was only for top end model. But in this June while I was riding from Velankanni to Trivandrum on the east cost hiway, one of the back tyres (right) blasted on the perfect clean and smooth road. The vehicle was driven only 8000km. The tyre was in good condition. The company is not telling any reason for this though I have submitted the tyre to the Nippon Toyota, Trivandrum. So think twice before buying crysta. The tyre blast issue I have discussed with Nippon Toyota Trivandrum at the time if buying. They have promised that the issues regarding the tyre was with 17" one and they have modified the vehicle with 16" tyre. But my vehicle was with 16" tyre only. Very strongly I am telling it is not happened due to any road problem, less air or problems related to tyre. During the tyre blast the vehicle was at 110km/hr speed and that was not an over speed in that hiway for such a vehicle. During the ride most of the small vehicles were over taking us. So you cannot drive the vehicle confidently for long journey. Think before buying

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 172PS WITH AUTO SHIFT BUTTRESS ENGINE IN RIDING AND SHIFTIG OF GEAR.

Ride Quality & Handling AUTO SHIFT BUTTRESS ENGINE IN RIDING AND SHIFTIG OF GEAR. STEARING IS VARY SMOTH.

FINAL WORD IS IF U PLAINING TO BUY A SEDAN CAR HAVING 15.5LAKH FOR TOP VARIENT U CAN PAY LITTLE BIT 18.7LAKH FOR AUTO SHIFT 172PS MPV BELIVE ME ITS GIVE U BETTER FEELING THAN SEDAN AND TOYOTA IS RELIABLE AND LONG LIFE. U INVEST IN RIGHT PLACE WHERE U GET BETTER PRICE IN SALE.

Areas of improvement NOTHING.

Tyre alignment problem. I have to get new tyres in my car in just 13000 km. Fornt disc brake pads are also amajor problem in this car. Parts of this car are too expensive. Old innova is much better then this crysta. I never suggest anyone to buy this car. Service is too expensive, labour charge they charged are too high.

Exterior

- The exterior is fully redesigend compared to the old innova, when you drive and see the onlookers you know they are admiring the looks; been through police check posts where even the Civics are stopped for but Crysta goes through.. The taxi look is gone and the front is high, agressive and stylish..

- Added only fog lamps, door visors and rear bike protector as exterior accessories..

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

- Interior is fun ad the midle seats placed higher than the front makes the position more stately..

- First, I was looking for middle bench seats by company program only allows for captain seats (7 seater restriction by RTO)  but once you use it the comfort is good.. One minor issue is the protrusion of seat bar into the back if you recline much but practically such recline is not needed..

- Planning to fill the gap with a custom stool to have the required flexibility of a 3 seater in the middle row..

- The last seat is fun.. Surpisingly its a 3 seater and we did try 3 5'6" adults at the back.. If someone sits alone he can stretch his legs through the captain seats gap.. Sleeping is even more fun as the sides are raised like a pillow..

- Less on features inside, even music system is missing.. Got a SONY fitted by dealer and it works good. other accesoories were wooden consoles on front as well as on doors and scuff plates..

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

-2.8 Diesel is wow ; There are 3 modes Eco, Normal and Power.. Till now I have used Eco only and there is no dearth of power.. In Automode 120kmph is achieved at 1900 RPM, it seems there is a cruise mode above the sixth gear where rpm is lower..

- Since all power is delivered low, I have never been above 2200 rpm and engine is really inaudible inside the cabin.. Once I tried the power mode and it was too much power for me to control..

- I have done 2000kms and the average for last 1000kms is shown as 6.9L/100km which is 14.5 and it includes all kinds of traffic..

 

Ride Quality & Handling

-My other car is 2006 city.. The steering precision is not so good but the ride quality is impressive especialy on undulating roads..

- almost no tyre noise and it seems that the car is gliding on straight roads..

- on uneven/undulating roads one feels the body roll due to higher seating position.. visibility for me

- potholes are absorbed well but as a sedan driver I am taken aback by the springy feel of the absorbers.

 

Final Words

 -It has been an amazing experience driving the Crysta and its a definite recommendation..  mix of city and crysta works great for my family..

 

Areas of improvement  

- Increased equiptment levels including adjustable driver seat for this 19L on-road car..

- Steering control at higher speeds..

 

- Exterior redesign, engine, ride-quality, space, third-row- driver seat not adjustable, dust-catching black interiors, roll on uneven roads

Horrible. I have a bought a top model of innova crystal. Since I purchase this vehicle the wheel disc are broken frequently and after many emails and complaints nobody can solve these tyre and disc issue from Toyota. If you want piece of mind while long drive please Don't purchase innova crystal.

Bought this car on 12th of December 2019. I had been waiting to finalize which one to go for I waited almost a year before buying it. I did test drive following cars Honda city, Creta, Verna, Jeep, Kia, MG, Skoda Octavia; finally settled with Innova Crysta. A wonderful package for a long drive with the family. One issue I found is at lower RPM I could see some engine noise, as per the Toyota service centre this should go after a first oil change (i.e servicing after 10K km). At National Highway with 5th gear, this car is just butter smooth, U will have good driving pleasure. I had already done a single stretch drive of 1200 KM (Hyderabad to Jajpur) with few mins of a break for launch/breakfast/dinner, started earlier morning and reached at night.believe me I don't feel tired at all.

 not value for money , normal people cannot afford the price point , build quality is not that good ,. dashboard looks bad & confusing instrument cluster

Areas of improvement  

• Price very high
• Garish front grille design!
• Noisy diesel engine, especially over 110 kph / 3,000 rpm
• Gearing too short for highway runs.
