Toyota Motor Corporation today announced it developed the world's first stamping-type plating technology that uses a polymer membrane (solid electrolyte membrane). This polymer membrane allows the metal ions pass through, to apply plating like a stamp, only to those areas that require plating. The technology is used in the plating process for forming copper, nickel, and other metal coatings during the process of manufacturing electronic parts.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has handed over a mobile medical unit (MMU) to the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore to help scale up COVID-19 testing in the state. The MMU will be used as a molecular diagnostic laboratory that can test for Coronavirus and provide results quickly, thus reducing the turnaround time, while further scaling up testing.

Toyota Kirloslar Motor (TKM) India has issued some guidelines for resuming operations at its plant today, with the lockdown restrictions being eased a bit. With the Government granting permission to industries in rural areas to commence operations, the carmaker intends to restart the production at the earliest.
