New BMW X4 photo gallery

In February this year, BMW unveiled the second generation of the X4 at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. This latest iteration of the X4 is based on BMW's CLAR platform, which also underpins the recently launched BMW X3. While speculations suggest that the new car might be launched in India in 2019, let's take a look at the car through these pictures.

As compared to its predecessor, the new X4 is longer, wider and sits lower. Also, thanks to the new platform, it is 50kg lighter as well. 

The X4 is essentially a coupe version of the X3 when it comes to the styling bits. The fascia is similar with a large twin-kidney grille flanked by BMW's twin-pod LED headlamps. 

Upfront, there are large air dams on the bumper, which are flanked by vents on both side and house a pair of LED fog lights.

From the sides, one can notice the coupe-like roofline, and it’s the rear end which is unique to the X4. This is where the distinctive character of the car is seen.

At the rear, there are slim L-shaped LED tail lamps with the BMW logo in the centre. The dual-tone rear bumper and twin-exhaust tips complete the look at the back.

Meanwhile, the X4's interior is similar to the X3. However, it gets a redesigned dashboard with a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a touchpad and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. 

Furthermore, there are other features like panoramic sunroof, three-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting and electric seats among others.

We can expect the India-spec BMW X4 to get the 188bhp 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel mill mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. All-wheel-drive might also be made available.
