Kia Motors concludes a multi-city Design Tour across India

-    Kia showcased four cars in 26 cities across the country.

-    The SP Concept based is scheduled to arrive in second-half of 2019.

Kia Motors recently concluded the second phase of its Design Tour in India. The Design Tour by the Korean carmaker is aimed at raising awareness of the brand in the country. The carmaker exhibited the Niro, Carnival and Sportage at these design tours which were held in 26 cities over a span of two months, covering 15,000km distance. 

Through this tour, Kia Motors India reached out to over 10,000 potential customers and buyers across the country. This extensive multi-city roadshow commenced from the city of Jamshedpur on 16 January and concluded in Bhopal on 15 March. With the roadshow, Kia aims to showcase its long-term commitment and dedication to the Indian market.

The primary focus of the multi-city roadshow was also to bring together dealer partners, customers and reach out to newer audiences, ensuring a deep market penetration in the country. Kia aims to be amongst the top five automakers within three years in India and this multi-city Design Tour could help enhance Kia’s brand awareness and recall with customers all across India.

Manohar Bhat, head of marketing and sales, Kia Motors India, commenting on the conclusion of Design Tour, said, “This is a great platform where multiple stakeholders – dealers, customers and opinion leaders – get to be a part of, and experience the distinctive and stunning design of Kia cars. Through this activity, we were able to gauge the excitement and anticipation around Kia amongst the masses across the country. We have received a phenomenal response from every city, and we are happy that we were able to showcase the glimpse of great design and technology of Kia in the respective cities, a taste of what Kia is about, before the launch of our mid-SUV in India.”

Kia has already commenced the trial production of the SP2i at its Anantapur Plant in Andhra Pradesh. With the first car arriving in the second half of 2019, Kia has a target to launch a new car every six months and expand its portfolio to at least five vehicles by 2021.
