I've bought Kia sonet HTX IMT diesel in Aug 2023. Driving experience was good untill recently when my car started showing the engine light warning. I had to visit the showroom 7-8 times to get it diagnosed properly; they couldn't identify the defect. DPF filter found burnt, my car was at the showroom for one month to replace the filter, don't know why they took it so long. Also, my car's AC cooling coil was leaking. Both of these were manufacturing defects; they did cover the cost of equipments which was around 1.6 lakh, but they charged me for AC gas and diesel which I think was unfair because both of them were manufacturing defects. And not to mention the hardships caused by all this for almost 6 months. I had to visit the showroom at least twice a month for the period.

I recently took out a car loan and was pleasantly surprised by the smooth process. The document verification completed within a week.Now I had the car for 2 months and have driven about 300 kms.The driving experience is fun and enjoyable since I opted for the top end model with advanced features like 360 degree camera,level 1 adas functions As a new driver, I feel confident thanks to features like lane keep assist, lane control assist,blind spot monitoring, and front and rear cameras,The car appearance looks like roars lion and it feels powerful on the road while I didn't had servicing experience yet The car offers several advantages like ample ground clearance , spacious trunk and comfortable seating for 4 people, however its quite expensive compared to its peers and offers low mileage in city especially for petrol variant.

Good petrol mileage averages around 15 km/l on highways. The Sonet’s strong points is its low maintenance cost compared to other compact SUVs. its looks and presence with a premium aesthetic uncommon in its class. It feels confident and a bit upscale compared to many rivals, with a youthful and aggressive stance that still looks fresh 5 years later.
