You should know before buying sonet??Owning the Kia Sonet has been a surprisingly satisfying experience. From the moment I took delivery, its bold stance and tiger-nose grille turned heads in my neighborhood. I opted for the 1.5L diesel automatic—smooth, punchy, and fuel-efficient, giving me around 21 kmpl on highway runs. The cabin feels premium for its segment: ventilated front seats, a crisp 10.25-inch touchscreen, and that Bose sound system—chef’s kiss during long drives. The steering is light in the city and stable on highways. Parking is a breeze with the rear camera and sensors. I’ve used the wireless Android Auto daily, and the sunroof adds a nice touch of flair. The rear seat space is decent for kids, though taller adults might feel a bit snug. What really impressed me was the safety kit—six airbags, ESC, and hill assist. During monsoons in Udupi, the grip and braking gave me confidence. Service costs have been reasonable, and Kia’s network is growing fast. It’s not just a car—it’s a statement. Sporty, tech-packed, and reliable. If you want a compact SUV that feels premium without breaking the bank, the Sonet delivers. Good car for family purposeI am writing this review after using this car for almost 5000 km in different terrain/rural roads/highways/express ways. It is a nice car for a family man. Not suggested for youngsters. Since this is not a turbocharged car, do not expect engine performance. Features are good with accuracy. Example TPMS works with 100 % accuracy. The infotainment system works without lag, etc. Space and comfort is better than expectation. Milage is almost 20 kmpl if you drive between 80 to 100 kmph. In city, it gives around 12 to 14 kmpl depending upon your driving skills. I have rated this car 3 stars only because it is terribly difficult to drive this car in night. It's headlights and fog lights are literally useless. And it's not just me; all the owners report the same. Aftermarket light work is absolutely necessary if you wish to drive in night. If you buy a top-end variant, there is no choice to do bulb replacement. However, bulb replacement is possible in the low-end variant.
