I am an owner of a Chevrolet Spark. I am sure this is the best small car available in India. It even beats the Alto in several aspects. The sales has gone upto 4300 units for Oct 2008. For looks, performance, ride quality and warranty (3 years) it is worth every rupee you spend on it.

I would advise anyone planning to buy a new small car;test drive all the options(they are not going to charge u for that ;)) and feel the difference.I sense a sabotage and prejudice for Spark here.Do It Yourself folks!! Happy Driving.

Being from the Automobile field from last 8 years and that too in engine manufacturing, I feel there are so many data and figures furnished are biased. In my personal analysis, no engine gives a true "Flat torque curve" better than spark. A flat torque is some thing like ideal performance of an engine. But i didnt like the interior of Spark for a tall guy like me. Santro Xing is much better than A-star.

Very good review with hard data brought in by Gurkanwal when needed.Gurkanwal has kept his cool in the face of extreme instigation from Rajiv Prashar.Rajiv Parashar thinks that just because he has bought Spark,it is the best and everyone else must fall in line.

Hi this is Mohit, I like Spark in it's segment Which is good use of money. But Maruti & Hyundai are claiming that GM is in problem & may be Bankrupt very soon. Things are likely to happen like Matiz problem. Service will be the problem?? Pl. suggest I am planning to have Spark as my first car.

Spark is my favourite car. It's fuel economy, pick up and maximum speed is higher than swift, santro, wagonR.Internal space is also sufficient for 5 people.I love my spark more then my Girl Friend.

I hav my Brother's Spark LT and driving it from past 5 months. Gives a milage in city as fo 12-14 & surely it has given me 15 in long drives as from Blr to hubli etc. Also has a good pickup & torque is high compared to santro(friend has)so gear shifting is quite less. DashBoard is not at all a problem for a good driver. The car is strudy and does not shakes at 100KM speed also. The best thing is you can keep your had on the gear lever its not shakey like santro, alto & waganor.

Hi, if possible please suggest which one is better, alto, spark or santro. I drive very less. I have a plus with spark but no idea that what will happen after 3 years. Alto as all knows best car in its class but feature wise not good. In Santro am concerned about maintainence cost and it is expensive too. Please suggest which one would be bettered?

Alto is the best car,it has lowest maintenace, lowest fuel bill and best service support for all times. It is extremely reliable and rides well on bad roads.

i 've completed 20 000 km in spark........really a good car de only inconveniance that i felt is its headlight switches placed in the right side and the wiper switches in the left.a tiny vibration from the dicky panels...if..corrected a superb small car which cannot be in any way compared to the different variants of maruti or even hyundai i 10.....silvy raju

hi, leave fighting hey listen u all..... buy only advance 16valve engine like pc core2duo advance than Pii processos . maruti wagon-r has 16valve (4valves per cylender) but spark/i10 n all have old 8/12valves per cylender. benchmark-honda city.vtec has 16valve. more over at 2010 only 16valve engine fit to run like cityZX has 8valves discontinued. don't buy spark/uva/xink/i10/logan/city.zx/old maruti.800/old gets/maruti dzire petrol/omni/any skoda/xeta/marina etc bye & g luck.

hi,Rajiv Parashar at first save your review about this scrap car. it was flooded with no & never, first handle them. mr.Gurkanwal Singh, ravi.pa is kavi-ha ha ha. i know the truth. from april,2010 ban on spark with 8velve sohc v.m-engine. it is most advisable to all middle-class person who can't change their car within a year or so. its useless realizing the mistake later. don't fellow others check yourself.you do your own class & take your time. note: no to cng & never 2 lpg.

DK , Ranchi I think all comments are very valuable.Above all these sessions very interactive and knowledgeable. It is true that before bying any forgigen car we should think twice. The most valuable point which Mr. Ravi told.about 16valve system. 2ndly.We should choose indian car so that any prob.it is easy to maintain. No, doubt SPARK looks very beautiful i presonally love its design and model but fact is fact ALL glitters are not Gold.I am very much tankful to Mr. RAVI who shared vey valuable

Of these variants of Mpfi, 'Sequential' is the best from the above considerations of power balance/output. ‘Sefi’’, as advertised by Ford Ikon, stands for 'Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection', which technically is the best of the above variants of Mpfi. Daewoo India had the (b) or (c) variants of above Mpfi systems on its Cielo/Matiz. so now tell me what you mean by valve counts ????

hi Nitushyamali , donn't buy gas-car ie.LPG & CNG from today, save your money and also avoid life-risk. completely no % never to the gas. you can save environment by regular servicing of your car means better fuel combustion & lower pollution. .

I have a Spark too. I donot think the central location of speedometer poor. Its good. However, driving comfort with this car is not upto the mark. I donot say poor but not just sufficient for 1000cc engine. I have both Wagon R and Spark. However Wagon R exceeds Spark over driving pleasure. But overall I am satisfied with the car, beacuse I am not fast at driving. Those who like driving fast and feel like SUV, donot go for this car. Its better to have Santro or else Wagon R.

Hi all, I will suggest to go for Spark, I have drove it for more than 400km. No noise, you wont feel your engine is start in traffic light. No vibration in high speed as well. Breaks are powerfull. I believe there is no comparison between alto and spark.. Spark is far ahead. The interier is beige color which i dont like. The Sales person told me that i would get a Dual Din Kenwood Stereo and Central Locking + 3year maintenance package for just 3.11 lac + insurance (8500).I BOOKED A NEW LAST SAT

Hey Vikram, other than the 6 monthly servicing, I haven't needed to go to a servicing station in last 2.5 yrs. If your city has GM dealer then there is nothing to worry. These guys pick your car for servicing from your home and then drop it in the evening. It's a completely maintenance free car.
