I recently purchased used hyundai accent crdi aug 2005 model.good condition..around 1lc kms driven.but i'm hardly getting an average of 14kms on highway with AC...
before buying when i enquired about the vehicle everybody was that it has a very good average of 18-19kms /ltr on highway..
on my diwali holidays i drove it around 3000kms on highways...and i hardly get an average of 14kms..while i drove it at a constant speed of 100kms for quite long stretches..
plz guide me..up..
jUST GOT IT SERVICED THOROUGHLY A WEEK BACK...AND THEN ONLY COVERED 3000KMS.
CHANGED OIL FILTER, DIESEL FILTER..ALL OILS...BRAKE PADS...
got those injectors cleaned at the time of servicing...
I purchased ACCENT CRDI SEPT'05 model in July'08. Covered 25000kms.Today when i was goign to office just a km away from my house it suddenly stopped.I tried ignition --2-3 times but nothing happened. I took it to the HYUNDAI SERVICE CENTRE .They tried self 4-5 times it started normally.they said engine is damaged , its back performing(backing up)...as they found smoke in the oil check pipe. Oil level was also little low.They have given me an estimate of Rs.1,00,000
Now, I would like to know wht type of problem it is? Y it happened? HOw can I get it repaired at a low cost? What might have damaged or required changed?

Ask locally for a good workshop in Sec 16, get a second opinioin. The explanation from the ASS is vague, and I know the dealer near Indian Oil - they were careless and could never convince me when I went there to enquire about a new Verna. Is it the same dealer?

Now, they have opened a new service centre in sec 64.
i have shown it to one of the hyundia mechanic outisde service centr..he has suggested me to get the whole engine overhaul but at some local workshop (prescribed by him). all spares he will arrange..in total it will cost around 35k.
The engine might well require a rebore and new gaskets-these reliability problems seems to be generic to the Accent CRDI's!
Is the 3 cylinder format the culprit?(maybe).
