I live in Hyderabad Hi-tech city area. I have a VW Polo 1.2 Petrol car which I got in Jan 2015, it has been 4 years now and ran around 34K Km.

Last month I got my car’s 4th service done, 2 weeks after the service my dashboard showed check engine light.

When I took my car to the VW service center, I was told that fuel contamination has jammed by fuel exhaust valves and I need to replace my fuel exhaust system which will cost me Rs. 68,000.

The reason I was told that this happened is because of contaminated fuel, which really shocked me because how come entire exhaust system is damaged by contaminated fuel.

I’m a newbie and I may not understand if that is really possible. I have not driven much and my car never had any issue before.

I’m confused what I should be doing. Could someone help me with suggestions?
