I wish to put a new engine in a MM540. It is my first time at modifying. Just making a plan now.
Can I mate a mHawk 140 Diesel Engine, 5th Generation Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) with auto transmission (doing duty in the XUV500) to the MM540 chassis? Any similar experiences? Especially when I still want to retain the 4WD.
I want to check whether I can replace all 4 leaf springs with long travel coil springs, add rear and front diff locks while retaining solid live axles front and rear but accomodating bigger beefer offroad tyres. Hopefully the car won't shake or roll too much. I would prefer an auto transmission, just easier to drive in snow conditions, and 4WD grip.
I like the XUV diesel engine with 330 NM of torque as low as 1600 rpm and AWD but any other options?
