I have heard about the term boot space.What is boot space?Can anybody help me?

boot space is the space at the back of the car for luggage

Boot space means the space to keep our luggages. And it will be on the back of the car. In hutch backs it will be just back of the rear seat where as in sedans it will be acting as a seperate unit and the  boot space is normally said in liters like 450 liters of boot etc.

boot space is the compartment to keep your luggage. we call it "dikki".

I guess you mean HATCH backs and not Hutch backs.

Also, Dikki/Diggi is a very "desi" word for Boot. Since you guys are now aware. I request you to use "boot " as the word. Foreigners find it really funny and they may get offended too, since the word may refer to things which may not be a part of neat and proper english language.

"Boot" is the British English term for the storage/luggage compartment in cars. North Americans call it the "Trunk".

In front engine cars it is at back of car and for rear engine cars it is in front (Nano)
