Ford Aspire [2015-2018] User Reviews

I Purchased the Aspire on Sunday(6th sep 2015) in 2 days i have driven 700kms.

Enjoyed Driving in ghats especially, handling the road at bends just supper.

Till now i have not crossed 80km/hr still i can feel the power.

Gear shifting is smooth, engine response is good.

City handling is also good, 

Car gave more what i had expected

Value for money Its good car to buy, worth every bit.

I recommend to go for Aspire, worth ur money.

I am enjoying it, till now not conserns.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent.

Ride Quality & Handling Awesome.

Final Words Super packed car at this price, Handling at road bends(ghats) supper.

I am vilas wagh from Navi Mumbai and have been a ford fan for quiet some time. My first car was a ford figo diesel model which I loved a lot. I sold that car and in July 2015 bought the very much talked about ford figo Aspire petrol version as usage was low. I was considering all the options available in this segment i.e. hyundai accent, Maruti Dezire, Tata zest and Honda Amaze. After a lot of research and user reviews and expert views finally decided to buy ford aspire as it was a winner in terms of features and looks and I don’t regret my decision.

Dezire was equally good but since I wanted to stand out and did not want to follow the herd mentality, I choose to own aspire. We have driven this car for 10000 kms today and traveled from Mumbai to ooty within 3 months of purchase before first servicing. It’s very comfortable to drive and don’t feel the strain on the highways.

I can write lot of positives but many of my fellow users have written it so would focus only on the negatives.

1. The pick-up is very low in the second gear. We faced problems in the ghat sections. Had to ride on the first gear. I have driven this car in the hilly terrains of ooty

(36 Hair pin bends) as well as Matheran hills near Mumbai. Overall the handling is very good on the curves but the problem is: In the first gear only we can feel comfortable. if you shift to second there is a heavy lag. Even if you stand on the accelerator, the car wont go ahead, feels like pulling a bullock cart. I investigated the problem and also spoke to the service centre guys. They said that there was some alignment (Not the wheel alignment) problem with the engine and have rectified it. Post rectification I have felt a lot of improvement in the performance but still have some problem with the pick up in the second gear. My friends who drove this car and are owners of other brands have also felt the same. I am still not very comfortable while overtaking as once you drop below a certain rpm level, the engine takes time to revive.(This is the Major drawback of the car).

2. Weak Head lights. (Even Ford figo had same problem, I got it rectified from a local mechanic by using a cut out and having high power head lamps.). And it works.

3. In the Ford figo earlier version, Bose speakers were fitted by the company, which were very good. Now they have used Kenwood speakers which I feel are not up to the mark as compared to bose speakers. Can make out the difference.

4. While closing the doors, you do not get that refined sound of closing as you get in other cars. The door closes with a thud sound. Which I don’t know is a good or bad sign.

I am very much satisfied with the Interiors, Looks, and Features. Everything offered is value for money.

One last thing: I am extremely pleased by the overall service offered by the ford showroom staff as well as the service centre staff in Navi Mumbai. (Cheers to Bhavna Ford in Navi Mumbai). I would give those 10 on 10 for the overall service.

Final Words: I got an accident on 1st of November evening and immediately took it to workshop ( Kaikan Ford) on very next day morning. From the workshop they said as the car is new so they don't have all the spare parts so it will take 3 days to get them. When till 12th the spare parts didn't arrive I had lodged a complaint to Ford India. Ford India's Customer relation person Husna Banu took my case and promised to update me from time to time which she never did. Just when dealership on 17th afternoon received the spare parts then she called to say it will reach in the evening where as matter of fact the parts actually reached workshop. Then on 18th I received the car and the workshop guys honestly told me that one part is still missing and they have fixed the accident affected part till the time the part arrive so that I can use the car till that time. 

After that Husna Banu called next day that if I am happy with the dealer's repair work, without knowing that still they are waiting for a part from Ford India. When I told her that she promised to look after the matter and again vanished. Till date no reply for my mails not even a call to update me when the part will arrive, if I call they say trying their best without giving a concrete answer. It's 25 days since I took the car to Ford workshop. Please think twice before purchasing a Ford Product. Very sorry to say that too much incompetent people they have employed.

I purchased new car on Nov and found two major concerns.

1) No safety. Ford given the Air bag for major accidents but not concentrated for minor safeties any door you can open during driving, this happens with me my 2 years old son opened the doors many times during running. It is having centralized door locking system but it is only use full when your car is not running.

2) if you want to install reverse parking camera you have to install only from ford and which is casting Rs 17000 and same other make cameras you can buy from market only 2000 to 5000 but if you install the camera from outside then warranty will be void.

Same I have written to ford customer care and many seniors but not getting any response. Really by purchasing this car I really wasted my money. Very bad response from ford. If anyone want to put their family to danger then only think to purchase FORD CARS.

Good car but Ford is making itself worst car.No human safety

My car was delivered with dangerous fault. It's brake pedal becomes irresponsive sometimes suddenly when I am driving bumper to bumper traffic at speed 20 or so. It becomes responsive only when clutch is pressed. I have to act in micro seconds on clutch to prevent bang on car ahead of me. And ford company or my dealer jai ganesh at rajkot at Gujarat is not taking any responsibility to solve it. I have been fighting with them for since it delivered. NEVER BUY FORD

Exterior The front grills are awesome and nose is very well placed.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It includes all features that are available with competitors in similar versions except  ABS, I feel that it can be added in lower versions. Space is good for a family of 5 people. Driving comfort is good in city/highway.  On Hilly roads also the car performance is very nice. The car absorbs well, all the shocks from bad uneven roads. 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine preformance is awesome with 100Ps on ghat roads and even in city it do nice, fuel consumption is moderate and it can be best after 1st service.

The gear ratios are well prpotioned.

Ride Quality & Handling Simply awesome. Just effortless, you wont get tired driving this car. Drive even at 140 Km/hr and you wont even know at what speed you are at.

Final Words After all we are all buying a car for the Engine and the safety, others are all useless. In this aspect I chose to buy Ford figo aspire, becoz the company provides 100Ps engine and 2 Airbags in all variants.

Areas of improvement Nothing.

In this aspect I chose to buy Ford figo aspire, becoz the company provides 100Ps engine and 2 Airbags in all variants. Trend 1.2 litrs figo aspire petrol .good sedan car,.the starting power need to be improved,lighting need to be improved,they use 55/60, atleast 100/90 to be made.spaces car.abs need to be given in basic  variant.good value for moneny happy motering

Areas of improvement Kindly provide bottle holder for rear seats.kindly improve the power of lights.

Exterior

The look of this car always confuses other people if its a budget car or a high end sedan.The front grill of this car with that chrome finish gives it a stylish view.Rear of this car is a bit on the upper side,but it doesnt look like the boot has been attached to it atall.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Interior is beige and black with a nice finishing touch to every nook and corner.The seats are comfy too and enough space for 3 medium sized people easily.The AC is powerful enough,cools down the entire cabin in a few minutes,so no need to put it on the whole time.Sound system is excellent and sufficient with 4 speakers.A really good feature is the aux point and usb point in the MyFordDock panel,which can be used easily with no worry of the phone tripping over even in bridge traffics and panic braking.Steering wheel itself has a control panel of this infotainment system so no need to extend to that main panel.It even has bluetooth connectivity to phones and other devices and feature to import all contacts.The cabin insulation also is really good and feels neglegible discomfort when goes through a pot hole.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Engine is really powerful and rev it beyond 1700 rpm and it is just a joy to ride.The torque is excellent,215Nm is really good enough for this segment.Apparently no presence of turbo lag....can even ride as low as 15kmph from 3rd gear.Currently she gives me 15kmpl in the cities but then again i ride around 1st and 2nd around 3000 rpm,so its a different story,but when driven perfectly it gave around 20-22 kmpl which was with AC off.The gearbox is smooth,no issues there.

Ride Quality & Handling

Ride Qualty is good as I mentioned above,absorbs all the bumps and holes smoothly.Even when it is at higher speeds of upto 130-140,it feels under control.The steering response is good and helps alot in city traffic and highways as well.

Final Words

I was suggested by other people to go for other car in the same segment,but we went for this one and except one minor problem of the speakers not playing which was internally disturbed because i wasnt used to the new cars pickup and torque....hehe took me 2 dasy to get used to it but the ford service guys responded quickly and took the car to service centre the same day itself.Kuddos for Wasan Ford in Bombay.All things apart,Aspire is an excellent family car and has good power,good fuel economy,good space and importantly lots of safety and practicality.Value for money.

Areas of improvement  

Honestly,please include the driver seat height adjustment,no problem for men while driving but women need one.Include the parking sensor....really necessary in big cities.Havent come across anything else other than this.

Exterior 

There is no comparison when it comes to the exteriors...very contemporary design. The front look is very good and gives a very premium feel. The nose is just gorgeous and the lines across the bonnet gives a muscular feel as well.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) 

Descent features, awesome space and very comfortable. The music system is very good and the sound is descent enough.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 

Feels a bit low of power in lower revs, fuel economy is descent. The gearbox feels good and does the job.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Superior ride quality and very good handling. Negotiating curves on this car is fun. Did a long drive covering almost 2000 kms and it was a breeze driving the car on highways. Handled very well even at high speeds of above 140kmph.

Final Words

 Excellent car from Ford India. Hope the car buyers get out of the craze for maruti suzuki cars and try something new which is far superior than the competition

Areas of improvement  

 Better fitting optional seat covers, ABS on lower versions. Cup holders on the rear seat arm rest. A little more horse power to do the hard work. :D
