I am reviewing new 2017 Punto Evo petrol 1.2. I bought this from Landmark Worli Mumbai. Many of us dont know about Fiat as it is never advertised. I saw as many cars but rejected all due to their exterior. All fancy hatchback charge a bomb nowadays by attracting customers with deals, fog lamps,exterior styling etc. n we are so dumb that we fall prey to such gimmicks and end up paying premium. Fog lamps and styling never defines exterior, but the body shell of your car, material used does. Fiat car is tank heavy unlike other local n some international brands who have heavily compromised on kerb weight. Whats the use of EBS EBD Safety bags etc if your car shell itself has a problem. Dont u think you will be wrapped like a paper once u hit something big. I loved the heaviness of this Fiat car which will save u, it does not have EBD n air bags for petrol Evo version but car is designed perfectly taking in mind everyones safety. I saw other cars offering you airbags ebs ebd etc which has weight between 750-900( compromised for profiteering) n we are paying premium for this.

Car comes with navigation, good speakers( this was my priority while buying as i am a audiophile and listen to fusion, rock, jazz and world music) so I cant compromise on sound which is good. Maps help u find routes easily. All features what a basic family needs is present so Fiat will not make you dull. Seat covers are good, Boot space is good, Fiat guys have thought for your safety by giving u metal board on your back seat( good).

Overall good.

Engine is 1.2, its smooth and above 2500 RPM its great. Engine is perfectly tuned with respect to the kerb weight which saves your fuel. Its matter of practice n drive n you will be in love with the car. I have driven 2500 kms both in City n Express way. Found Engine to be in perfect sync. Fuel economy is like other cars, no petrol car will give u above 15 in city and above 20 on highway so please dont calculate.

Ride quality is very good due to its weight n shocks which are alligned perfectly, u can ditch pot holes, 5 people can ride without any issue. I have touched 120 kms on highway its butter smooth.

Dont go by others perception and review, try urself and study a bit about safety. Maximum features are never used but still we pay our hard earned money for that n make car companies rich. Try Fiat Petrol version, its good, low to our pockets, durable and reliable. I bought this from Landmark and really got very good experience and after sales. Car parts are available as its made in Pune. Happy driving folks.

I purchased punto in 2014, and today it is 2,00,000 km driven. No maintenance at all I had Suzuki car earlier and it was 65000 km driven. And it was worst experience in comparison of punto. Superb handling U can control mileage as u can drive. It is power packed also. It is a toy for man. Issue is only service network and reselling in comparison of Suzuki.

Servicing and maitenance is very poor. All other things are better. Service centres in india are very less. I live in una himachal. No service center is around 80 km from here. Spare part is of very high cost.

Exterior A different stylishlook which seperates the looks form other cars.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Loaded with lot of adequate features including Blue & me, Good space availability feels like a Sedan,Manages the pot holes well which is frequent on our Indian roads.The suspensions are good. Blue & Me option is a verynice feature.

Safety features are excellent ,U can do the passenger airbag deactivation by yourself whenever required. This type of facilities you can find it on Volvo cars which is one of the top safety rated manufaturer globally.(The deactivation is required only when you seating your child in front seat or whenever you are tarvelling without any front seat passenger).The solidbuild of the vehicle will give you safe feeling when you sit inside the vehicle.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A real highway cruiser ..well suited for highways ,speed & stability of the vehicle is very good.The road grip. and steering feel is wordless when compared to other cars in the segment.

The initial turbo lag (~upto 1800rpm) is a -ve of the vehicle ,fiat should do some improvement in the gearbox ratios.

The fuel economy is good ,getting a mileage of 13.5+ kmpl in city(heavy traffic) & 17+ in highways with full AC.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality & handling is of topnotch,u can feel the roadgrip of this vehicle when taking a sharp curves at high speed.

Final Words Value for money.

Areas of improvement Gearbox & Turbolag can be improved.Marketing strategy of this vehicle.

I had driven once, the power and pick up is very good but one thing I would like to tell that don't discontinue this product. It's a very good vehicle and I loved it. The other thing I would tell is to get back the company to India and produce the vehicle different designs and with a different engine, definitely, it's going to click. Because there are some Fiat lovers looking to buy vehicles.

This is my first car. i don't know the driving while looking for a car. So, started research with Zero knowledge on car. Talked through many friends and colleagues. After research got into more confusion which one to take. Finally put up a plan, Decided the budget and again started investigation which one will suites to me and value for the money. The one which I purchased is not in my list. I was keep on looking for different brands and not able to satisfy either because of quality or maintenance cost. when I was in confusion one of my colleague suggested fiat punto and his experience with fiat brand, which motivated me to have a look.  I discussed with my wife and family about the same. We went to the show room and had look on punto EVO. We are highly satisfied the quality of the product. So we decided to book this car.

After using this car for a month this is my feeling, Look and Style: Looks and Style are okay not modern look from outside. But Dashboard , Seating, boot space etc are satisfied. 

Comfort Honestly i didn't had a test drive while booking as i am new to the driving. Once I got the My Car started practiced with my little knowledge in city on morning and night. Started liking very much of driving. And after 7 days went for long drive(around 800 km at one stretch)  with my family. we really felt good with comfort and car stability. 
Pickup: Initially drove in b/w  0- 100 km. After completing 2000 km start feeling the smooth in engine and pickup is awesome.

Mileage: Recently tested miliage in city I got around 16 km. Need to test in highway.(awaiting to test).

Best Features :  Best Stability on road and build quality.

Cons : I agree with others for customer service is not that great out side of the major cities. I feel comfortable in the banglore.

Exterior What can we say? She is a Head Turner-The Italian Beauty! Park and Admire.

If you love cars,you will fall in love with it.

Every time you shut the door(Literally bang the door to  lose it),it reassures you with a strong thud. Thats its build quality. Solid build quality!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) If you are bent on buying a Maruti,look some where else. But,if you have a taste for good material whatever the brand,this car impresses you.

The interiors look a class above Maruti,bettered only by I 20 and Polo.

Music system is above average. Post burning in,you will love it.

Seats are  comfortable. Back space-decent but better in a Baleno or i20.

The ride is pliant and very stable. Forget the competition in stability and ride quality.

Stress on  Safety: Fire prevention system(not in any competition);3 point Seat Belts with Pretensioners,Dual  stage Airbags,strong body-Try moving a panel on the car by pushing it and compare with the competition-you will know what Im speaking of.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The down side is gear box. It gets better with use. Was never a deal breaker for me though.

Engine  comes alive after 5000km. You will feel it becoming more fuel efficient by the day.

Give the car an open highway-it cruises effortlessly.  You can revv the engine upto 5000rpm but it does not break a sweat. The car is a mile muncher. Gives no trouble on long drives to your back.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is excellent even in the back seat. Steering feedback is the best in less than  10 lakh rupee cars and makes you a confident driver. Takes the corners aggressively too and is stable.

Its a driver's car. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Final Words Great Car for those who love driving.Also its a safe car. If you own a FIAT,you know. Its the only car brand  in India,which has a separate website built by its fans for fans(totally unrelated to FIAT company).Such is the driveability of the car.

Areas of improvement Space management in the rear. No. of Service centers. Poor marketing from FIAT.

Easily the Best Handler(<10Lakhs,Low Maintenance,Good Fuel Economy,Excellent Suspension for ur backHit or Miss Service(No bad personal experience so far),Limited Service network

Car is nice in handling, 19-21 kmpl Average on highway and 12-14 in city traffic. using my cousin car from last month. Pickup is good. I am hearing that fiat has been stopped manufacturing all cars except Jeep compass and he already stopped making engines for all Indian car manufacturers like Maruti. It is very sad to hear that fiat always do this in india. he develops and wins hearts then he does not survive through showroom sale and finally he stops giving service in India and run away from market dramatically from the market without confirming tonits exist customers. fiat did cheatable behaviour that is the reason people does not buy fiat cars in India. Fiat cars are best in manufacturing, on-road it lasts a lot of kilometres but when someone needs spare parts and service they run away and does not have any retail store in India. They sell through 99rpm website and they are rude. They do not have any customer care number for spare parts availability. They cheat the customer and takes the price as they desire. Overhaul fiat products are nice but their cheating behaviour gives zero remarks in India. Inlove fiat product but very very disappointed to hear that again they closed to give spares and service and no car model and products under 10 lacs will be produced in India.

I am having car from 8 years. It is very good one and I love it. Fantastic seat ac is well efficient sound system the best in this case it very strong it could hold crash and save lives it stylish too
