As car enthusiasts, or simply as individuals who cherish their vehicles, we inherently desire our cars to always look their absolute best. And to keep them shining and pampered, we use the finest care products available. Now, adding to the extensive choices in the market, we have a comprehensive range of Hiker Car Care products. While the name 'Hiker' might be new to many, it emerges as a dedicated sub-brand of Varroc, a name familiar in the vast field of automotive spares and components.
We at CarWale are always eager to get our hands on anything that genuinely helps fellow car enthusiasts pamper their rides. So, when a box full of Hiker goodies landed at our doorstep, we were more than excited to experience it firsthand.
The initial bunch of Hiker products comprise both exterior and interior care, as well as products designed to address common vehicle blemishes.
Exterior Care Essentials
Car Shampoo: First up is the car shampoo. We are keen to see how well it suds up and, more importantly, how effectively it lifts all the grime and dirt we encounter daily on our construction-infested Mumbai roads.
Micro-fibre Cloth: This micro-fibre cloth feels promising. We’ll be checking its absorbency and how gentle it is on the paint. Although it does not mention the GSM on the packet, Hiker suggests it is pretty effective, but the real test will be whether it dries the car without leaving any swirl marks.
Waterless Dry Wash: Living in a city like ours, sometimes a full wash isn't feasible. This waterless wash seems like a great option for those quick clean-ups. We'll be testing how well it removes light dust and dirt without scratching the paint.
Multi-purpose Duster: A duster is a must-have. We’ll see how comfortable this one is to use and how effectively it picks up dust without just spreading it around.
Wax Polish: Who doesn't love a bit of shine? We are excited to try out this wax polish and see how deep and glossy a finish it provides. More importantly, we'll be checking how long that shine lasts.
Interior Care Solutions
Interior Cleaner & Sanitizer: Keeping the inside clean and hygienic is a chore. We’ll be testing this cleaner on various interior surfaces like the dashboard, door panels, and upholstery to see how well it removes the stains.
Triple Shiner: A little shine can make a big difference inside and out. We’ll be applying this to the dashboard to see if it gives that nice, non-greasy sheen. For the tyres, we are hoping it delivers that deep black look that makes the wheels pop.
For Surface Imperfections
Given the inevitable scratches and swirls we pick up on our roads, these dedicated products are something we are particularly interested in. We will be testing them on minor blemishes to see how effectively they minimise their appearance.
Rust is the enemy of any car. By applying this rust cleaner to any affected areas, we’ll see how well it tackles corrosion.
Putting Hiker to the Test
Over the coming days, we'll be putting each of these Hiker products through its paces. We will test their effectiveness, ease of use, and the results they deliver.
