I bought the AMT version of this car in March 2018. The car is a perfect fit for beginners and city driving. Had a wonderful experience until I came across this specific problem where the Malfunction Indicator Lamp on the dashboard lights and the car suddenly stops then and there upon major vibrating. The car started only after 10 mins. I faced the very same problem thrice and the company has failed to resolve this issue. This is a huge disappointment and an issue as it puts the safety at stake. Shocked and annoyed upon having to face this major issue within 2 months after buying the car.

I bought Datsun Redi Go from Royal Automotors Showroom, Sanganer Road, Jaipur on 3-01-2017. From the first day I am facing the problems continuously. In last 3 months I have went to Royal Nissan Service Center, Sitapura Jaipur around 20-22 times. After every 6-7 days I had to go to service center for the same problem but I could not get solutions of my problem. I had complained to the GM of the service center Mr. Abhinav also. But nobody worried about that and they said we have not solutions of your problems and it does not matter for us what problems you are facing because we have sold the car now it's your responsibility. Do what do you want to do with your Car. Datsun Redigo is the worst car of the world. My suggestion to everyone please don't buy this car. I sent mail to customer care also many time but they did not revert also. Because I bought car for Taxi Purpose then I am totally in loss because of the car. Below are the problems which I am facing in the CAR.
1. The biggest problem is Mileage(Average). Company claim it gives 25.17Km/Ltr mileage but actually it's giving mileage of 11Km/ltr in city and 14km/ltr on highway.
2. It engine make lot of noise like Eicher Tractor.
3. It's gate are very hard and make sound when we close it and at driving time also.
4. It's Diggi gate block automaticallly after every 7 days.
5. Car get imbalance if you run it more than 100km/hour speed.
6. It's staring get hard after 2 months.
7. Break Pad has been end within 2 months only.
8. It's Break does not work properly if there are 4 passenger in the car. It's increase chance of Accident.

I have gone many time to Service Center of Datsun Go Nissan and sent mail to customer care also many time but nobody is solving the problem. After sale Datsun Nissan will not provide the service. I have got loss of Rs. 6 Lac because of this car.

Nothing is there to LikeMileage, Engnine & Gate Noise

I happened to buy Redigo AMT in August 2109 for my wife, it has happened to be the biggest blunder I made this year, 2019. I received the new car with too many problems of which the brake issue is a major problem. On the first drive I realised that the brake is hopeless, the car does not stop where the user wants to stop, even after the applying the brake, the car rolls on. My wife hardly escaped from accidents very many times. The complaint was raised to the concerned, their reply is that brake is perfect according to the Nissan standards. I have raised the issue with "ARAI"(Automotive Research Foundation of India) and waiting for the response. How can you to own a car with poor brake? If you want to be killed go for Datsun Redi go.....The most hopeless Waste of money Not secure worst customer care (Nissan) Dear Indians, Buy not Datsun Redi go.

When we started searching car for ourselves , we visited many dealerships but as soon as we entered Nissan showroom, it was different experience with very warm welcome and vibrant feeling .. Sales man asked about our requirements and showed various options in 3-6 L range .. In fact with Nissan Datsun we got maximum options to choose .. finally as per our need , we selected Redi Go ... our belief on product and brand became stronger when we took test ride as "Driving is believing ".. we did not require any other review or opinion and immediately booked redo Go ..infact on instant same day booking , I Got some additional offer .. which made our deal even more sweeter ...Me and my family loving this car as till date we have travelled long distances with hassle free and extremely comfortable rides .. I would like to caution on one part that this car engine pickup is really fast (sales man had told us about Nissan proven Japanese engine Technology) and makes your tend to drive super fast ..we should drive our vehicle as per speed limits of mentioned by transport dept.

Exterior Ddesign is good. Looks better than alto or nano. but kwid looks better. Tiago looks even more better.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very poor quality interiors. plastics used is of very low quality. feels like youre sitting in a very old car.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine lacks power but is good enough for a 799 cc engine. very noisy. cabin is not insulated at all. vibrations can be felt. fuel economy good. gearbox is okay. metal panels are exposed at so many places to cut cost.

Ride Quality & Handling Good ride quality. handling is fine bt on higher speeds it doesnt feel safe. none of the models have abs. power steering feels very light on highways.

Final Words I say go for tata tiago. this cars basic model costs very less but it doesnt even have air conditioning. the model with power stering and ac cost nearly 3.8 lakhs. so its netter to go for kwid or tiago.

Areas of improvement interior quality is very poor, egine noise, vibrations.

Exterior Looks great and far better than the closet competitor, Alto800.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Fairly good. Has great back seat & good space. Even the storage space is ample. It has 2 bottle storage & a tray. You can store walets, change, phone, etc. Audio system is also great. It sounds really well gor the price of the car.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Disapointing geatbox. Ok fuel economy. But it can pull on accelaration then you want.

Ride Quality & Handling 180mm ground clearence maks for avery comfertable ride. Rides really well even on bad indian monsoon roads.

Final Words For the price in the given segament India finally got a better car than the dated Maruti cars. It has a great look & gives a lot of space inside. Engine may not be able to rev high but can accelarate at will, that is a great help in traffic.

Areas of improvement Gearbox. No central locking.

Great AC, lots of storage, stearing abilaty, music player. Ok fuel economy, lookNo bluetooth. No rear speakers. Small glove box.

Purchased Redigo T(O) .petrol model 2 months back. Driven 1600+ kms. Worst fuel economy. Beyond my imagination. They claim 25 km/l. In city it gives only 9-10 km/l. In highway it has given 16 km/l ,both the cases AC on. Actually Nissan has cheated customers claiming 25 km/l to take some initial marketshare . but this trick is short lived. There was brake issue also. From day 1 I noticed brake pedal is malfunctioning. Everyday twice/thrice pedal gets hard suddenly...brake is not being applied when in need. ..very dangerous. Accident can happen. I contacted Chandrani Nissan service center in Kolkata. They agreed that they experienced this same problem in other few cars also. However they reset the chip functioning ( as per their version ) and last one month after this rectification I did not face the problem. AC is strong. Interior exterior is good. Look is nicely crafted. Light steering in low speed city drive. However in highway it gets balanced and stable. Engine is very noisy. Especially during starting the engine. Hard notchy gear. Not good. Only one back light lits during reversing the car. Very cheap and bad idea. Basic necessity and basic quality should be maintained in low price range car also. But Nissan has cheated us. Horrible mileage has become a nightmare. Thinking of selling it . But only 2 months car...so will not be a profitable proposition. But fuel bill is touching the sky. Really confused. Don't buy this car to avoid tension.

Exterior It seems to be good in near. But from far looking it semms to be crashed . so, it was disappointing.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I have not seen such a worst interior never before. maruthi, alto 800 gives a decent interior but it was just like a box in a state of unfinished condition.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It does not gives pickup in 2nd gear and it vibrates like hell. The 5min that I ride in this car is waste for me.and the gear box is not smooth as the petrol car. It was just srrucking.

Ride Quality & Handling Power steering is mind blowing and the riding quality is worse. it gives more sound inside the car. and it doesnt gives the mind to ride the car. the suspension was not fare in very harsh roads but ok for city but not safer for highway rides.

Final Words It was worst in this segment. rather u can go for maruthi, alto and eon etc.., which will give u a smooth and mind blowing performance when compared to this car. so do not get entered in to it.

Areas of improvement Alllllllll.

SteeringAll rather than steering such as interior built quality, finishing, ride quality.

I baught ReadyGo AMT S , the topmost model in March 18. Car failed several times in first month. Was towed to workshop three times. Roadside assistance is horrible. Finally it has been dianosed as Cluch actuator failure. Car is in Garage for last full month. They say that the part would come from JAPAN!

Whats the point in buying new car which fails with horrible engine vibration giving you engine failure caution and stops midway on the road. Very dengarous situation which can land you in accident on highway. I have lost confidence in the vehicle and would be tensed all the time driving it in future. Thats when I get the car back.

If you are thinking of buying Datsun AMT, I would suggest  you should wait till they fix the car properly. Looks like they launched the car without proper testing and looking to get the bugs  from failures. I wish I had baught Kwid instead.

Still awaiting the car to come. Hopefully, it would have no problems. Fingers crossed!
