Car looks good on the road

The buying experience was good, and the service was also good. I like a car, but its suspension is not good, and the pickup is also not good. The car looks good on the road. It is good to buy in that price range.

Amazing Exter - 1.5 yrs Review

I've driven several cars but never owned one. That was till 1st June 2024 where i went ahead and bought my 1st - Hyundai Exter. The story of me buying a car actually began back in 2022 and reached crescendo by the end of 2023. And all of this was because i had to move 250KM away from my home town due to my job. Since there was no proper public transport, i took a bold step of buying the car against my financial situation. Deciding to buy a car seemed to be a easier decision but the difficult once came with which car to buy. Since i will be using it mainly on Highways with lack of infra for charging stations, i've decided against going for EV. Diesel wasn't an option as i will be using the car only occasionally. After several months of search, research, consulting and some(not some but heavy) brainstorming i came up with a shortlist. (Budget stretching around 10L to 11L) Hyundai i10 Hyundai i20 Tata Tiago Tata Punch Tata Altroz Honda Amaze *Avoided Maruti for obvious reasons (Well known to the world)* Here my preferences were bigger boot(for 2 daughters this is a MUST), Fuel economy, Longevity, Customer care etc. Now considering the above i had to remove i10 and Tiago from my consideration since their boot is small. Left out Amaze as it is a sedan and my sedan driving experience is ZERO. (Just worried and thought "May be next time"). Left with i20, Altroz and Punch. Took a test drive and liked being at the driving seat of Altroz as it felt like being in a movie theater. But then a friend of mine(Not so proud owner of Altroz) advised me against going for it stating several reasons like engine noise and Fuel economy. Looked at Punch and rejected it. Reasons are weird placement of back door handles, Lack of Sunroof(Wanted it for my daughters) which would cost a hefty amount and Bulky look(Not a fan of those looks). Only option is i20. -My brother used to own i20 before being migrated to Germany. To my question he said if given a chance he would buy i20 again happily. That cleared all my doubts.- Went to the nearest Hyundai Showroom(Godavarikhani, Telangana) and came to know about 2023 higher model i20 being still unsold and available in Karimnagar. Discussions went and finally got the discount of near 1L since it is 1 year old model car. For me every rupee mattered. Decided to pay the token amount on a good day which is 2 days later. Unfortunately another lucky customer felt this offer is too good to decline and too good to postpone and went on with booking. Now i being optimistic (All is Well) was considering to take 2024 model. While doing so, in the showroom i came across a crazy 4 wheeler which fits into my preferences perfectly well. And thus the beginning of Hyundai Exter took shape. Things i liked in Exter are Looks(Boxy XUVish); DRL's (H Shaped); Sunroof; 6 Airbags; Bigger boot; 3 can fit easily in the back, Rear AC Vents, Lamp in boot; Rear wiper etc were all under 10.5L .. Bang.. BUT only a thought stopping me which is Exter being new in the market and i wasn't sure how well it goes in the future. Getting Parts or service of flopped failed car models is a task which i wanted to avoid. But then the ultimate decision came from the actual decision maker - THE WIFE. She said YES. We bought our 1st car HYUNDAI EXTER on 1st June 2024. SX Option Petrol Khakee Green (Color chosen by Wife) for 10.5L on road price. The car surprises me every time i use it. Even today i.e after 1.5 yrs it still amazes me with the way how she produces amazing numbers in terms of Fuel economy. The much talked about cladding didn't affect my car at all. I regularly pack the boot with 2 rice bags (each 25Kg) along with the renowned heavy stuff of my women(Wife and daughters) and blah blah blah who cares.. It was heavy really heavy. Yet the car still performed at it's best. The dash board is simple yet informative. TPMS was really helpful. Steering is smooth enough. Automatic temperature control wasn't helpful as it always start the fan and AC at higher speed and stays there for a long time which was not necessary. OS is great with all necessary apps. Connectivity is seamless. I wish the wireless charging was actually part of the car instead as an accessory(You know what i mean). Decent Speakers produce good output. At the back, Rear AC Vents are a blessing. Enough room for 3 adults. Lamp in boot helps a lot in night. It's been 1.5 yrs yet i still haven't bought any extra accessories for my car. What ever came with the car were sufficient for me. Yeah, not seat covers too. Haven't had any major issues with the car yet. My only regret is not going for the higher version which is SX Option Connect. This has Dash cam, wireless mobile connectivity etc. I Still haven't bought a dash cam. If any one knows how to acquire the Hyundai Dash cam, let me know. It would be really helpful. I consider myself as a good driver not erratic but good mostly though. Reason behind the great numbers are Highway driving, clever use of Cruise Control, disciplined driving. (One might be wondering what numbers is he talking about, attaching few pics.) Wanted to share this review from a long time, thankfully am here on this day. Shoot all your questions or opinions and i will be happy to share the Exter magic with you.
