        Specifications

        • Engine & Transmission

          • Engine
            1399 cc, 4 Cylinders Inline, 4 Valves/Cylinder, DOHC

Timely services will keep a motor efficient and in top shape.

          • Engine Type
            E-TEC II

The official title given by the manufacturer in terms of the name of the engine, the displacement and the number of cylinders.

A bigger displacement and more than four-cylinders generally indicate a performance-oriented engine.

          • Max Power (bhp@rpm)
            94 bhp @ 6200 rpm

Gives a good idea of the performance of the vehicle under full thrust. A higher figure here usually means a higher top speed as well.

Higher the power, the peppier the engine but it can also affect fuel economy.

          • Max Torque (Nm@rpm)
            127 Nm @ 3400 rpm

Relates to in-gear acceleration. A higher figure here means better roll-on acceleration, fewer gear shifts, and possibly better fuel efficiency.

The more torque at low RPM range makes the engine feel more responsive. It also allows the engine to run smoothly without too many gear changes.

          • Mileage (ARAI)
            11.5 kmpl

This is the maximum fuel efficiency that an engine gives. All numbers are provided by the manufacturer based on tests conducted and specified by the standards of the ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India)

Such fuel efficiency attained while driving in special conditions makes it unlikely to get it in real-world conditions

          • Drivetrain
            FWD

Cars come with different drivetrain configurations depending on the segment.

Front-wheel drive (FWD) is most common in mainstream cars while expensive cars or SUVs come with rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD).

          • Transmission
            Manual - 5 Gears

Type of transmission used to transfer power from the engine to the wheels

A manually operated transmission is the most popular type, thanks to its simplicity and low cost. Varied types of automatic transmissions are also available.

          • Alternate Fuel
            CNG

Petrol cars can be fitted with CNG (compressed natural gas) kits or in some cases they come factory fitted as well. Then there are other systems like hybrid powertrain and electric motors which are expensive but have a much lower running cost.

Maintaining a quarter tank of the primary fuel helps when you run out of the alternate fuel

        • Dimensions & Weight

          • Length
            4310 mm

The length of the car decides its segment. In India, cars that are less than 4 metres in length enjoy reduced excise duties.

            Length
            • Length: 4310

Longer length results in more cabin space. It also adds to straight line stability.

          • Width
            1710 mm

A car's width is defined as its widest point without its mirrors.

            Width
            • Width: 1710

Although more width gives you more lateral space inside the cabin, it makes the car more difficult to park in narrow spots.

          • Height
            1505 mm

The height of the car denotes the highest point of the vehicle from the ground.

            Height
            • Height: 1505

Taller the car, the more headroom there is on offer inside the cabin. However, a tall boy stance also affect the car’s centre of gravity which can cause more body roll.

          • Wheelbase
            2480 mm

The space between the center of the front and rear wheels.

            Wheelbase
            • Wheelbase: 2480

The longer the wheelbase, the more space there is inside the cabin.

          • Ground Clearance
            181 mm

It’s the space between the lowest point of the car and the ground.

            Ground Clearance
            • Ground Clearance: 181

If the car has a good amount of clearance, it’s easier for it to clear big speed breakers and overall, deal with bad roads.

          • Kerb Weight
            1095 kg

The total weight of the vehicle with all the standard equipment and all the required fluids.

A lightweight car will always be more efficient and easier to manoeuvre whereas a heavy car would give you a sense of solidity while driving.

        • Capacity

          • Doors
            4 Doors

The number of doors define the category of car. For example – four door means sedan, two-door means coupe while five-doors usually refer to a hatchback, MPV or an SUV.

            Doors
            • Doors: 4
          • Seating Capacity
            5 Person

The number of people that can be seated comfortably in the car, which has also been mandated by the car manufacturer.

            Seating Capacity
            • Seating Capacity: 5
          • No of Rows
            2 Rows

Smaller cars usually have two rows which can seat five, but some SUVs and MPVs have three rows and can seat around 7-8 passengers.

          • Bootspace
            400 litres

Boot space defines how practical the car is with respect to how much luggage it can carry.

            Bootspace
            • Bootspace: 400

A boot with a large and wide opening is ideal for loading heavy items. Additionally, a lower loading height also makes it easy to put in luggage.

          • Fuel Tank Capacity
            45 litres

The official volume of the fuel tank of a car, usually denoted in litres.

If a car has a large fuel tank, it can cover long distances without refuelling.

        • Excellent fuel economy, Great price
Exterior Decent design and neat exterior. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Few features but great space and comfort. overall good interiors. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox  Engine Performance is good on pertol and fair on CNG. Unbeliveable 17.68 km/kg(city) and 23.53 km/kg (highway) on cng)😲 and 15.7 km/l (city) and 18.4 (highway). Ride Quality & Handling Good ride and a pleasure in handling. Final Words I bought my Aveo cng and have been driving it for over six months and given an option I would again go for it!😊 Areas of improvement Features need to be improved (like fog lights, alloy wheels, steering mounted controls) as only the LS option is available, also 14 kg cylinder should be made available. The inlet for CNG filling should be made through the petrol lid as in Maruti cars as for filling CNG each time you have open the bonnet which looks pretty awkward. Service centres should be increased in Delhi.Good space and designFew service station

        • 2nd to None if you are buying CNG version
Exterior Excellent.   Interior Excellent.   Features Excellent.   Space Less than Manza & Fiesta, but equal to Dzire.   Comfert Excellent.   Engine Performance Cant say much about performance because i bought it a month back & covered only 3000 km, But till date it is very good.   Fuel Economy Now this is something surprizing but excellent, because 1400cc, 1.4 ltr engine car in CNG version is giving milage @1.21 paise/km without AC & with AC 1.55 paise/km, in Petrol 11-12 km/Ltr.   Gearbox: it feels Little tight during some 100's kms but u'll get used to it.   Ride Quality & Handling: Very Good.   Final Words Being an engineer I hv gone through detailed analysis & search of six months before buying this car, as i wanted to give my money its value. My car is CNG version & it comes only in baisc model, I feel every car is good in itself bcoz no manufacturer want to make bad product, Performance of car depends how u drive & how u care about your vechicle. You may find a 20yr old Fiat or Maruti car in very good condition & a brand new Audi or BMW in a very bad condition. Buying a car variably depends  individually, some buy on interiors, some on exterior, some on milage, some only on aftersales service, But if you want everything in a car between 6-7 lac then go for it. CNG version costs me 7 LAC & Till now after 3000km it took less than Rs.4000/- from my pocket, belive me. It requires atleast 6 ltr petrol in its tank to get start, this car is not designed for very fast drivers. If you are a simple sober family person then this car & you are made for each other.   Also most impressive is No other company fitted CNG car is having 1 Lac km or 3Yrs warrenty. Pickup in CNG is very good but just little less then petrol. Dont think about Petrol if you are from middle class family.  Lots of ppls asks me about resale value, now u judge me if i am wrong. After covering 1 lac km @ 1.21/km or say 1.50pasie/km, u will spend Rs.1.5 lacs on 1 lac km, if campare it with petrol on 1 lac km u will spend approx Rs.4 lacs (Rs.4/km) , so the difference of Rs.3 lac will be my saving in expectation of resale value.   Areas of improvement 1) Left knee always touches the dashboard curve no matter how u adjust your seat but it will touch your left knee, it should be improved. 2)  Right now m not facing any problem but i feel Chevy should have more service stations & workshops if they really want to comptete the rivals, coz this is a better car in all respect except aftersales service & it meant alot to me also.   Verdict Now would u like to drive an Aveo which is luxurious, comfertable, 1400 cc, i.4ltr engine, with all power windows, tilt stearing, hight adjustable seat with great interior & exterior @ 1.20 - 1.50 paise/km. what more u need now.  Comfert, status symbol, luxury, international brand, good milage, real value for moneyIt is the only car which have little less space for its driver
