Oh yes, it's distributorship is in Ahmedabad (for entire India), and I agree it is more popular here in Gujarat, therefore.

What I was actually saying about is that the local retrofitter told me 'all that you have said' but added that Lotavo has some ownership problem.  Anyway.

BRC & Lovato both cost between 18K to 20K. Lower than this, is prima facie suspect for any good italian kit, like Vidhur has said before.

Tell Me 1) The price I had paid for santro is OK or Not?    2) Which LPG Kit is Best for my Santro 3) Exactly where the LPG dealer make cheating with customer by providing dummy parts of LPG, How to identify dumy party, and list of such parts.  4) What care should be taken while purchasing the LPG Kit, what components should be check, if their is any criteria to identified the components? 5) I have one fear that while driving on long tour, LPG kit make any problems for engine like stop car, starting trouble, battery discharge etc. In such case what precation should be taken.. 6) Suggest me best reputed dealers of LPG in Pune. 7) I have LPG Pump station in my near vicinity. 7) My daily running in city is about 28 to 30 Km. & outside city 100 to 200 km within 2-3 months, is it worth to fit LPG for my car?

Approval for LPG (& CNG) kits/retrofitments are car/model-specific.  Check for the ones that are approved for your car/model.  Otherwise, both the kits/brands are good - both should cost approx. 17-18K (original italian kits).

Both are good.  BRC is more popular in Gujarat (I understand).

In either case, go for original Italian Kit.  It would cost, including retrofitment charges, around 18-20K.  The retrofitment will need to be endorsed in the RTO/RC Book.  Some fee (RTO) is payable for the same.  The retrofitters normally get the procedure done.  You will also need to get it endorsed in the Insurance Policy.

I'm not aware of reputed stations / retrofitters.

BRC is, to my knowledge, more preferred kit then any other.  Here in Gujarat, it's almost BRC everywhere.  Go for the better version costing Rs.18500/-.

Recently in ahmedabad almost all cng kits are availkable in 27k to 28k..is these rates are fare or high???

That 18.5K mentioned by me is for LPG kit.

The figures quoted by you indicate that the prices of CNG kit may have come down by at least 7-8K.  I'm not aware about it.  Counter-check locally with other dealers.  Also ensure that the Kit is original (Italian).

hi,

i was told that full conversion to cng is not possible and that there is both petrol and cng option in retrofitting. hence, servicing cost goes up since both petrol engine and cng kit have to be serviced. also, in retrofitting, warranty of the car is void unless you get the fitting done from showroom or authorised center. the cost of a company fitted kit is double that of kit from brc/lovato etc. hence it makes sense only in older cars and not cars within warranty. probability of something happening is extremely low but still, why take a chance with that?

further, if you do long distance travel, then cng will limit the distance travelled. for city its fine. these are my observations.
