Fair Condition

A car will be considered to be in fair condition if it has some mechanical or cosmetic defects, and needs servicing, but is still in reasonable running condition. It must have a clean accident history, though the paint, body and interior may need work performed by a mechanic. There may be some repairable rust damage. The tires/battery may need to be replaced.

Good Condition

If the car is free of any major defects. This car has not undergone any accident. The paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial life left. It might need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. If a car is maintained well, it will fall into this category.

Excellent Condition

If a car looks new, is in excellent mechanical and electrical condition and needs no maintenance work at all. This car has never undergone denting-painting or body work and is free of rust. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The car also has been serviced regularly and properly. Car's insurance, road-tax and all other papers are available.

Dealer Sale Value
