I am not a car technical expert. This is review written after 4 months of purchase having done about 3500 kms from a layman user perspective.
Exterior The body shape is good, the looks from front and back are good but when it comes to finishing its rough, its uneven, the gaps between different parts are not similar and it looks likely yhat the paint is not going to last much (lets see).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I have the high end model of diesel variant.The interiors are nothing to write home about. The plastic is not good quality. But then it has space - huge space. It has bluetooth connectivity between stereo and phone - amazing amazing feature to have. I feel they have not padded the seats enough on the place where thighs rest. I have often found myself tired after long drive because of this. I guess, somebody with shorter legs wouldn't find this problem.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This sweeps it all. You have to drive it to be zapped. On Delhi roads on a signal or otherwise, its just a laughing matter to overtake any car, yes any car, when it comes to pik-up or speed. If I say it in Hindi - "gaadi bhaagti hai". The ad where the man is left open-mouthed after a test drive is actually true. Its just too good. Any other car (till the range of 20 lacs atleast) is literally no competition to this car. Fuel economy - well it started from 12 for the new car and has reached upto 16.5 as it becomes 4 mnths and 3500kms old. Gearbox is heavy and gears are some job to shift but should be ok when u get used to it.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is smooth. You will be amazed here also. SUspension looks decent - good enough for Indian road. TUrning radius is high. This is great negative as you just can't squeeze into tight places and have to do a lot of to and fro to park - looks very foolish when the parking attendant is waiting for you to park.
Final Words Any negative is taken care in big big way by the sheer pleasure of driving this beast. You will feel like you command sheer power.Having driven about 1.2 lacs kms I have never loved driving as much as I have loved driving this car. If somebody is looking for value of money - this car is it. Go for it. I got it for 5.7 lacs only (airbags, ABS).

Exterior : Good Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Good features, space and comfort. Indica vista Reached equal to ford comfort.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox:
1. Engine is smoother.
2. Performance is good.
3. Gear box Drivetech advertisement is not visible in the real perfromance of the gearbox. It is not at all smoother. I used Ford escort, which has good gear box in terms of shifting. Indica vista gear box shifting is almost disappointing. Feel unhappy with the gearbox.
Ride Quality & Handling Riding quality is good because of the engine. But gear shift makes the drive harder. With Reverse gear and applying break. sound like rolling a drum is coming. FInish of the vehnical is not upto the mark of other indian car makers. Espicially window glass side rubbers, windscreen sorounded rubbers, i am able to see a lot of gap, which allows a lot of dust to settle inside. Airconditurion is moderate. Paint quality is also modarate.
Final Words I purchased aura plus Quadrajet car Aug.2010. The car looks good except, source from vibration from driver side (can hear from cabin not from outside), viper blade holding metal part has rust, while taking reverse a sound like rolling drum is coming. I yet to reach dealer. If any of you already had similar problem and rectified, please let me know the cause. It will help me.

3. At least the car should be rust free while delivering to the customer.
4. Make the offers from Tata to be very clear. I am not happy with the offer being said by the TATA and is given by the dealer.

Final Words TATA please concentrate more on trucks because truck drivers can listen to the words of your dealers and workshop mechanics or may be TAXI drivers roadside workshops are well equipeed than your authorized service centres despite long mails TATA could not arrange an engineer from the company who can tell about the noices coming from the car and anybody opting to buy TATA make sure he has enough tIme to spare to be at the workshop every second day to get the car repaired for one fault or the other and dont be astonished if some one from workshop says NOICE in your vehicle is At par with other VISTA vehicles REQUEST YOU ALL TO ATLEAST HAVE A LOOK AT OTHER VEHICLES YOU WILL NEVER LOOK BACK TOWARDS THIS VEHICLE AND TATA .I CANT COUNT THE NUMBER OF VISITS I HAVE MADE TO THE WORKSHOPS AND STILL STRUGLING TO BE SATISFIED OWNER AND TO BE VERY TRUE I CURSE THE DAY WHEN I OPTED FOR THIS VEHICLE

Exterior Looks good from a distance,but paint quality bad .all the door alingnment has gone ,i told them three times they tried but unsuccessful,gaps has increqsed between door n car body when the door is closed.even bootcover lid has the same story.has to shut the door with force.chips of paint has fallen here n there and got rusted.with in 8th month of buying.finishing at the corners of doors n each part is so ppor you can see wide gaps in each corner,rear n front bumper locks are loose now n i can see gap of 5mm .tata service centre says its rubber made lock n tend to loosen up after some time.but it wold be so fast i am surprised.when i bhougt it after reviewin many cars i was satisfied as the time passed by i started feeling tata is no good except price and space.no doubt service centre is good but it is of no value if your car doesnot work to your satisfaction.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space-good,comfort -good,now come to plastic very bad ,nuts started to get loose only after 8000 km.plastic makes vibrations n noise even on slightly eneven road.makes my head dizzy.dash board has loosened up even before 3rd service.makes noise as if i am sittin in a CHAKDA.i am a smooth rider though.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pick up ok after 2500 rpm ,engine sounds good[fiat engine],fuel economy 12km/ltr in city without ac n 13.5 to 14 km/ltr on highway with/without ac.i have been on 8 trips so far each more than 6oo km.each time fuel efficiency was checked , figure was same.they say after fuel change in 3rd service it will improve by 1 to 1.5 km on highway.but i doubt it let's see.gear box not smooyh at all i thought it will smothen out but it is still hard and 2nd to 3rd gear shift is too long.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling stiffer than all hyundai, n maruticars.or say chey toyota whatever you say.seems like power steering has halfpower .some times it feels nice as it gives feeling of grip.my car vibrates a lot at speed of 60.and again starts vibrating at 120.i got wheel balancing done three times but of no use.manager of telmos automobile says it not unusual for these cars.now what i am supposed to do?where to report now any suggestion.even my car doesnot have aux n pendrive socket.even THOUGH its jan 2010 LE model.TATA R U LISTENING?

Areas of improvement ALL THE PROBLEMS I HAVE MENTIONED .TATA WHY TO MAKE HEAVY CARS IF PLASTIC CANT BEAR IT AND ALL THE CARS HAVE HIGH LEVEL OF NVH.EVEN TATA SAFARI.WHY YOU CANT SEE THE FINISH OF OTHER CRS IN MRKET ,GO N SEE THE FINISHING OF BEAT , SANTRO WHICH R AT THE SAME PRICE TAG.SEE THE LONGIVITY OF YOUR PARTS IN CAR.

Final Words LOVE MY DECISION NOW (AFTER THREE MONTHS) OF BUYING TATA INDica AFTER CANCELLING MY SWIFT VDI BOOKING. .folks-according to me one can buy vista in small and compact car segment..it pays you in more ways than you have imagined..this is my personal opinion.
Areas of improvement MORE ON QUALITY OF INTERIORS. PLEASE CHANGE THE UGLY BACK BUMPER- NO MORE TAXI/CAB FRIENDS. You can check it out at your nearest tata showroom.

Exterior Sleek styling with pioneering petal shaped front side head lamps. Rearside tail lamps however have the classic styling of Indica V2 / Xeta. Need some differentiation here to make it more eye catching.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent comfort , quite spacious for a family of five adults . Excellent Blaupunkt 2DIN Music system . Overall Comfort leagues ahead of Swift / Polo / Figo /I10 / i20.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Quite good . Fuel economy for Petrol engine about 15 Kmpl on highways & 12 kmpl in city. Engine immobiliser a good add-on feature ( Anti theft safety feature).
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent. Best in Class. Ride quality far superior to Swift / Polo / Palio.
Final Words Great improvemnt over earlier versions of Indica. Truly a great family car. On Service front though there is a considerable improvement, i feel it should be more customer friendly especially for Free Services during warranty.
Areas of improvement Limited boot space . How about launching a INDIGO VISTA CS? More choice of colours be provided e,g flourescent green , gold etc... Could do with a more customer friendly Dealer service. Currently the emphasis seems to be more on providing service at lightning speed due to which minor issues raised by customers get ignored. I personally feel speed of service should not be given top priority rather addressing all issues however minor be given sufficient hearing. Speed of service should be given importance only for extreme case ( accidents / engine breakdown etc)...

Hi All,
I got my new tata indica vista aqua silver last week,Its performing great in city as well as highways better stability at all speeds, I Square formula(Indian design & Italian engine) worked well in this model. I have to drive more kilometers to update the mileage,i am getting 15 with AC in city and 18 on high way at present.
Overall worth buy for this price compare to swift.
TATA Service REALLY REALLY need to improve, dont give fake promises.
Intially I booked my car in home town and the waiting they given me 15 days, we paid 1.5 lakhs, after 12 days there was no information from dealers, we called up and enquired the status of the car, he said it will take another one month to deliver the car since tata making the new vista models(Refreshing the interiors). we got irritated with his response and asked him, why u didnt inform us about this as we were expecting the car will be delivered in another 3 or 4 days, then he not even appologize me for the mistake and he has asked me "DO U NEED A CAR OR NOT" if u need we will it arrange from other dealers but u need pay extra, I was gone mad and i cancelled my booking and i have come to chennai.
Another poor Service We booked it in chennai and we got it in 10 days, At the time of delivery vehicle doesn't look like new vechile, it was rainy and they parked the car in the godown and it was open space. I have opened the bonnet i have checked the coolant and shocked it was empty in the new car when i asked the executive he said it was mistake made by (PDI department), then he filled a coolant by taking it from other vechicle which was come for service.
I bought JVC rx-416 double din music system,balupunkt speakers and asked tata motors executive to fix it in my car, they done it but they missed my remote some where in the shop.
So everyone be careful and clear with the executive what you really need and ask them to keep up with thier promises. Check the vechicle completley and make sure you have got everything in the new car.

Exterior The front is good.Rear is a bit same to the old Indica.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors look good and the blue backlit dials are funky but fit and finish is not great.It 's Bluetooth system,Aux-in and USB ports are available but no iPod port like New i10.Even no climate control.Great space and the seats are better than the cramped Swift and the Swift 's rear seats are good for children.Comfort is not bad.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride is better than Swift and handling is better than Ford Figo.
Final Words Tata Indica Vista is a good car.The Swift and Ford Figo are a bit dated looking but Swift looks too awkward and dated.The Indica Vista BS-IV and Swift BS-IV have same boot space but Figo has a big boot.But Vista looks like a new Mini SUV.Fit and Finish is not good.VFM really and great looking plus feature rich!!!!!!!!!!!!Vista is not a bad car.

Exterior It is a very stylish car with headlights of Chinese car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) You may find all the requirement needed in your car like Bluetooth system, you can talk, listen songs etc. understood all the stupid people who don't like The VISTA.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 75 bhp, 109 nm torque, it is sufficient for a city hatchback car with top speed 170km/r.
Ride Quality & Handling It has precise and smooth handling, no one can compare. Iy's a first class car. Its handling is equivalent to a racing car i.e. FERRARI
Final Words If you want to buy a hatchback car then it is the best and the perfect one with good mileage of 23km/l rather than i20,u-va, etc...
Areas of improvement Engine should be minimum 80hp and in all the edition as the need of quality is growing day by day and the rear light design must be changed don't keep it like the Indica V2.
