          • Engine
            1198 cc, 3 Cylinders Inline, 4 Valves/Cylinder

Timely services will keep a motor efficient and in top shape.

          • Engine Type
Petrol engine, in-line liquid cooling system 12 V DOHC, Transverse in front

The official title given by the manufacturer in terms of the name of the engine, the displacement and the number of cylinders.

A bigger displacement and more than four-cylinders generally indicate a performance-oriented engine.

          • Fuel Type
            Petrol

All cars in India either run on petrol, diesel, CNG, LPG or electric power.

          • Max Power (bhp@rpm)
            75@5400

Gives a good idea of the performance of the vehicle under full thrust. A higher figure here usually means a higher top speed as well.

Higher the power, the peppier the engine but it can also affect fuel economy.

          • Max Torque (Nm@rpm)
            110@3750

Relates to in-gear acceleration. A higher figure here means better roll-on acceleration, fewer gear shifts, and possibly better fuel efficiency.

The more torque at low RPM range makes the engine feel more responsive. It also allows the engine to run smoothly without too many gear changes.

          • Mileage (ARAI)
            11.3 kmpl

This is the maximum fuel efficiency that an engine gives. All numbers are provided by the manufacturer based on tests conducted and specified by the standards of the ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India)

Such fuel efficiency attained while driving in special conditions makes it unlikely to get it in real-world conditions

Exterior Very Good. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable and elegant. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very Good. Ride Quality & Handling A pleasure. Final Words I initially was hesistant to buy this car, my childhood friend gave it to me a a gift, and said pay me if you think its value for money, SOOOO here it goes, Its the best of the last 5 cars i owned so far, The interior, seating comfort, space, visibility and driving pleasure is superb, to top it the milage is unbelieveable 16 to 20 kmp to a litre, the safety features, maintainance, and overallriding and handling is excellent its value for money. I strongly recommend it in the hatchback segment. The other hatchbacks are no match to this car for the above mentioned reasons, this is my personal opinion, you are free to decide for your own self. Areas of improvement Choice of Colors.I have a Skoda Petrol version 20011, the average is 16 in the city and 20 on the highwayavailability of choice of Colors

        • Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.2MPI (HTP purchased 29.10.2011)
Exterior Simple and good. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Rear Center seat is bit difficult to accomodate. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent. Ride Quality & Handling Outstanding. Final Words Overall performance of the vehicle I'm very satisfied. Areas of improvement The staff at Jublee Hills show room are pathetic, they are all experts in giving false commitments. So new buyers be very very careful on this note. I have purchased Skoda Fabia Elegance 1.2 (Petrol) on Dt:26.10.2011 from Jublee Hills Show room Hyderabad. Ms. Adithi Gangully was the sales  executive who explained me of all the features and also told of the Diwali offer. She initially said over benifit of 1 lakh rupees on all the variant of Skoda Fabia (Petrol variant). Benifit mensioned to me was split in three break up,  1. Cash discount         : Rs 55,000 /- 2. AMC for 3Yrs           : Rs 30,000 /- 3. Skoda surprise gift  :  Rs 15,000 /-                                  ------------------                Total             Rs 1,00,000 /-                                 ------------------- Finally i have taken my car delivery from Jublee Hills show room on 29.10.2011, Wherein they have given me only the Cash discount and AMC for the 3 years free. When asked about the free gift they said its comming from Germany and will take 5 to 10 days time. I called them after 15 days they told me gift has not yet reached and told me to still wait for a week. I was even in contact with Mr. Jaya Chandra (Show Rooom Manager). On 24.01.2012 one Ms.Praveena (Customer service -manager) has informed me to come and collect the gift. On saturday i.e., 28.01.2011 i went to collect the gift i was shocked to hear from them that they say the gift was only for people who have purchased Ambience model.  After an continuous argument for 20minutes they started defending themself saying that they have never told any thing about gift. These kind of service and behavior is not at all appriciated from such a reputed car manufacturer like Skoda. I treat this kind of false commitment to customer as ill mannered and treat it  truly not professional. So people, I request all the new buyers to be very very causious of these kind of trap and kindly dont keep any thing pending anything with this people. Also take evry thing they commit in a peace of paper. • luxurious budget car
Exterior The fabia has a skoda logo on it, a high stance and a long wheel base, which overall gives it imposing looks + skoda has really managed to hide all the bulk with its design making the fabia look mature but classy. The Active model though lacks the side strips and alloys hence it looses out on a bit of the charm, thus i give it a 4/5. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior quality is great and the car feels buit for a lifetime. It is filled with things that would make you feel special, like the lamp lit glove box and boot, rear ac vents for a starter. space is the best in its class as is the same with the comfort on the car...even the I20 cant match it. However, all black interiors on the active model give a very gloomy look, besides the green lit instrument cluster also looks quite outdated. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is 1 area I hated to the core on the skoda. Engine performance was absolutely pathetic, it has a good initial response however, past 3500 rpm the car feels strained and feels like its begging you to stop driving it. Also, the 3 cylinder engine cant really handle the heavy little skoda with the AC on, it stalls frequently on the traffic lights and while climbing slopes you really need to cane the motor to keep the car moving. I loved the gearbox though, it is so smooth and slick that it waves of a bit of the awkwardness of the engine. Fuel economy again is lower than most cars in its class. I drove about 15 kms in the city and 25 kms on the highway and got an avg of 9.5 - 10. Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is simply superb, the car gives you the red carpet ride which even may be the accent or the ford fiesta wouldnt.Handling is great again, accurate steering, stiff chasis and a marvelous suspension help you dart around corners with ease, unfortunately we dont have a powerful engine under the hood to complement the same. Final Words It is a car to be chauffer driven, sit back and relax. Not to the tastes of a driving enthusiast. If you want a comfortable cruiser the fabia is the car for you. However, be careful not to damage it, it is a white elephant. a scratch can drill a big hole in your pocket enough to give you a heart attack. Areas of improvement Power and fuel efficiency, also the parts list. Way to expensive to maintain.comfort, ride & handling, space, small things that make you feel wanted.mediocre performance, expensive parts, bad FE
