No in India but Honda has been selling the stellar 2.2L diesel engine since years abroad-so there is nothing to worry about the diesel if and when its offered here.

If i am not wrong, Honda do not have diesel engines in India as of now. so is it worth taking the risk of owning the first diesel car from Honda?

Cheers,

Sathya

Honda had marked its presence in the market with the CIty it launched way back. Later we got to see the new city, CR-V and the civic as well. Getting the CR-V diesle will have them on firm grounds.

Then it would be  a competition for sure between the car itself and others, esp. Tata Cars...

Honda CR-V got some great reviews from the car design, features and parts used (esp. cargo light gasket)... so I think it would be a competition for sure between the car itself and others, esp. Tata cars...

It will fare much better than the wimpy sales of the petrol CRV. Indians are schizophrenics when it comes to spending money on high end cars - they still want the maximum savings on the running costs. Diesel will be an effective sweetner to make the fence-sitters climb down on the side of CRV.
