This is a really nice SUV. I got it for making ocassional business trips by road & covers 500 - 600 kms a day in my visits at least twice a week. At highways we drove at 170 kmph without any slight vibration. My friend is having a scorpio wherein we found the car vibratibg at 150 kmph. Safari is comfortable, lookwise it is good, I am getting a service of around 11 in highways (with AC) in city condition I get 9. I just had my first service. But the services at the service point (at least with my distributor) needs lot of improvement. In fact I cannot compare the services with the quality that I receive from the Santro people. I have a Santro for my city requirements. As getting a parking space for my safari at Kolkata is very difficult. Any way it is a nice one worth bying

This is news to me. The rated top speed I read about was 153-156 kmph. I'm quite impressed if it does 170 kmph.

What is wrong with you guys? Don't drive so fast on indian roads. 160kmph, 170kmph. You are putting yours as well as other peoples life in danger. Take it easy.

i have driven it to 170 kmph on mumbai pune express awy......it reaches the mark but needs some patience.....

ive taken it 160kmph. yeah, 170 sounds like an out of reach figure. however, consider the point the person wants to share. Safari is comfortable (Period). i am planning to pickup LX this month.

I don't know whether safari touches 170kmph or not, but I Have driven safari very easily upto 160 Kmph speed , and I think who so ever has said about 170Kmph speed , he must have driven it. From Jaspreet Singh.

A Safari going at 170 kmph, beats all figures boss. Even high end SUVs like the Tucson and the Endeavor do not touch that mark. Please be realistic when mentioning figures.

I m really surprised to know that your Safari touches speeds of 170 kph. Its just not believable dude.

What version do you own? Is the AC effective enough with 5 to 6 people in scorching heat of 46c in Delhi summers?
