Sunday was the first day when Manza was available for a test drive in Gurgaon and I happened to be one of the first to drive one. The car is very comfortable, the driving position is good, the electronic controls for AC, music system and other stuff take a bit of getting used to and is very elaborate. Rear passenger gets ample space to stretch his legs and the DIS seems like a good feature to begin with couldnt quite get through me. Once put in gear, Manza has great control and the road grip was good as well. Uneven roads couldnt even grab my attention as even the sound wasnt something you would pay attention to. The gear shifts are smooth as well and the steering and gear position are very intuitive. Only drawback of this car was the car wasnt tuned to respond as soon as u hit the gas.. it has to go beyond 2 on the RPM meter to actually feel the pickup. Perhaps tuned for good mileage.. overall should be a good competition for Dzire given the Maruti car also lacks a bit on interiors and small tyres

Hi, I had tried out Manza at Trivandrum show room. They do not have the higher version for test drive. The vehicle allotted for test drive is having problem with power steering. Interiors are not as good as Dzire

Hello Anurag, What abt after sale service for TATA?. In Bangalore expeirence is not that good. While Buying a CAR one needs to look at that aspect too. Road Grip is good owing to wider Tyre, but not sure about what u exactly mean by Better Handling. Furthermore we must not forget TATA generally use customer as Guineapig, I think U can remember How many modification they had to do to other versions of cars Like Indigo. Any way I dont have any grudge against them, but little bit apprehensive

Dzire has a heavy back and thinner tyres... therefore, on high speeds can skid easily... Manza will change the way we look at Tata Motors.. I would suggest Manza far ahead.. better handling.. better road grip...

The rear leg space in MANZA is awsome, but Dzire is also not bad. The Driving Comfort in Dzire is great. In terms of service and resale value I can put bet on Maruti. Buying a car is not only the end of the game it is basically begining of a relationship, and in that respect Maruti is far ahead than TATA. I am not having very pleasent experience when I visited the TATA showroom. Price wise both are same. I must it is a tough decesion to make .If u can wait for 18 weeks then go for Dzire

Hello Manoj, I recently took test drive for both MANZA and Dzire (top model). I am completely aggeering with Anurag, the pick up is not that good in Manza. Dzire just fly. Interior plastic of Manza is not good, it look very awful. Manz has some added Interior feature which DZIRE dont have like eletrical adjustable outer mirror, usb pulg-in to name a few. Manza enzine is noisy than DZire. The diameter of display in dash board is very small in Manza, which looks very awakard.

Hi, there. Can anyone suggest me. As i am confused between MANZA & Dzire. Ive heard that Tata cars dont have a good resale value, also Dzire waiting period is too high 18weeks. What to do ????

Anurag Setia on 04 Nov, 2009 at 07:06 PM

However. Aveo doesnt have the smooth gear shifts and driving comfort that I found in Manza.. mileage a big -ve as well
