A good machine which has a lot of space forhers the people sitting inside.Very comfortable back seats.Pickup has been excellent with the new DICOR engine. Hardly hear any engine sound inside the cabin.Long distance drives have been very good.

Gives me a mileage of 14Km/litre in City (Bangalore).I did a lot of research on the cars of this segment namely Maruti Dzire,Logan,Ford Fiesta TDCI but Indigo XL is far superior in many respects that the others. Definetly worth owing one than many of the premium cars. Also spares are cheap when compared to the others.

A great machine developed by TATA's. Not been marketed properly is what i feel. There are too many variants in Indigo that have been launced and thats one reason why this awesome machine has lost out in its unique identity.

the bad thing about tata is that he used same engine for indica dior, indigo dicor and indigo xl.the extra price of 2.5 lakh over indica dicor is just for the extra leg room and boot space.i have done 40000 km in 2 yrs and now i feel pick up is very poor.uneed to go to 1st gear every time u slow down.mileage is the only plus point. iused to get 13-14kmpl in hyderabad and on highway 17-18.overall it is a car to be driven by a driver and not a owner. finally i got rid of it at 3.65 laks

Its a great car at a great price.Dont expect the zoom kind of pickup like the petrol variants of other models but if your requirement is a comfortable car with good looks and decent mileage and maintainence cost go for it. NO car in the C segment and few in the D segement can match the comfort level of Indigo XL.

I think you are really unfortunate to get a defective piece.

i am really shocked after reading all comments and would like to tell all the readers that i owned tata XL classic Dicor in Nov 2007 and that was my badest day when i owned that car. In a very short time of 3 months fan belt starts sound like a tractor . In 1 year fan belt has been changed 3 times. It has leakage problem and in a span of just one year they have changed the engine of the car. Still car is not ok and giving problem of feul injector. Now finally i am filing case in Consumer court

No major issues so far. There was an oilleakage which was fixed by manipal motors free to cost. i believe TATA motors is asking all dealers to fix this bcos its a factory issue. Otherwise the DICOR engine is awesome. Its got excellent pickup and gives close to 14km per litre in the city. The oil leakage problem happened twice and the second time i got it fixed from Manipal motors. I have clocked 11000 km in 9 months.
