The Laura is quite a good looking machine. The tapering bonnet crease and the ridge on the hood give it much more contemporary stance than the Octavia. It is an understated affair on the inside. The plastics used look and feel expensive. The interior looks dull because of the abundance of shades of black but build quality is beyond belief. The occupants will find the seats ample and supportive. The legroom is sufficient and the passengers will not be left asking for more.
The Laura is equipped with a pump duse engine which utilizes the same 1.9l engine block as that of the Octavia but possesses a unit injector on each of the cylinders. The max power is rated at 104bhp while the torque is up substantially too against the TDI engine of the Octavia. The performance is brisk and the Laura delivers well on mileage figures too. Handling is composed and the ride quality is sorted. The Laura comes with an option of an automatic DSG gearbox. Both the manual and DSG are extremely smooth and quick.
Battling out with the likes of Accord and Camry, the Laura is a sedan built like a tank and has state-of-the-art technology all over it. Fuel efficiency is the trump card while you won’t go wrong with the ride and handling balance. It is a spacious, efficient and well-built diesel sedan which will give due consideration to your wallet too.
