My experience with Ford is very good (Fiesta TDCi, Ikon Flair 1.3 & Ikon TDCi). We are using these cars and maintenance is not much. Recently paid Rs. 2211/- for 40k service of Fiesta. Very happy to see that the Maintenance is not high and infact cheapest if I am comparing with others.

They've really worked on their prices - the price of the diesel's clutch has almost halved, for example. I'm in the process of picking up a Fiesta for a very close friend, but not had a very good sales experience so far. Pity.

May be a clever strategy! making routine service cheap and charge heavily on other repairs or road accedent damages. I have a small scratch only six inches long on the right door just below the rear view Mirror. When I enquired they quoted somewhere around Rs.3500/. (The door painiting and reapir is a 'job' and it doesnt matter weather scratch is 6 in ch or 2 feet long.) As long as I live and work near cochin city, there is no point in 'touching' a small scratch in the present road situation here.
For every 30000km service, it will cost somewhere around Rs 3500/ because some more filters(I think fuel filter) are being changed every 30000 kms.
As long as you stay away from road mishapps, Ford is affordable now.(So it seems to me!)

well thats cheap i should say. I shell out around 700-900 bucks for my 2 wheeler. Once it touched 1500 but it was a complete service except the engine and the gear box. So finally Ford is doing pretty cheap.

umm.... Mr. John Francis...... the remote boot release system is available as an extra option....... you are right that this feature should be standard..... bt with the launch of the new ikon the company now gives that feature as an option extra.

Hello
My second service of Ikon TDCi is over. It costs only Rs.1300/
My service was due before the date. 10000kms deadline was over before 6 months. I am very happy with the car.
One week After my second service kairali ford send me a reminder to 'bring' the car for first service! What efficient Database system.
Tall driver issue mentioned in the review - perfectly valid.
AC powerfull but noisy - at high fan speed
