Within a purchase of 22 days, my pulse met an accident from back side. I deposited my car to the dealer from where I purchased it. Its been 1 month and 18 days, and still my car is repaired, and the reason they give is shortage of parts. n 25 days back, they committed to delivery my car as they are going to recieve parts by air. n customer service people knows just one line. We regret for inconvenience.

And on top of that they asked me have I payed roadtax, just with the delivery of vehicle, I provided the whole amount and Renault people after 1.5 month haven't deposited my raodtax.

Even Registration No., earlier they told us that we have applied for your number, and we recieved your required no. Later, they answer we didn't get your number too.

I would suggest not to buy Renualt cars, they handle people considering them to be fool and they just pass mails and have a tagline We regret for your inconvenience.

In this segment good Sporty Looks Much Better Than Nissan Micra; Especillay for its Front Cuts. Fun was really never so inviting and exiting.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Not much difference, equivalent to Micra I feel especially. Enough space with good leg rooms

Not appliable to the user who are looking and comparing features like big luxury cars but in its segment it is more than enough and a class itself. 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

All is here for any car... Means from Change to Car. Pulse is Pulsating in different ways with 8V SOHC K9K diesel engine. More on more is super power of 1.5 Ltrs with 65 BHP is I feel and found zippy, consistent [Where Torque Plays Its Role] most of the time which is good for any traffic conditions. It boosts up the power and generates the superiror performance. I can say because I had a test drive for a new Pulse vehicle for a sort distance say 10 Kms.

Ride Quality & Handling

Superior, in one word I said all.

Final Words

Looking for a change part from [1.2 Ltrs (Fabia Diesel, Polo Diesel) ; 1.3 Ltrs (Swift, Manza, Vista, Punto) and 1.4 Ltrs (I20)] in economical and in best fuel performance, so drive a change in a bit dynamic, stylish and more sporty ways. I would like to say that Pulse will come over Micra a bit later into this year.

Once Renaut gives the surity on its ASS; instead giving explanations and tea/coffee with bread and butter means not only talks but service is also a very important factor.

Areas of improvement  

1. Definitely if Renault have to comes up with the proper ASS for all of their launched models at least as of now and they also have to have create a plus factor to grow in this sector on high nodes like Maruti, Tata & Hyundai with winning overll customer satisfaction.

2. For at least Pulse segment rates has to reviewed looking at other competiotion levels.

3. In Pulse, I hope their is a scope to go a bit diffent with one more high end model if they have lauched their models with ABS, Driver Seat Height Adjuster. I hope it cretaes alot of market with different ways. Question here is Why?? Answer to the question is that Micra is having all the same features and in a bit cheaper rates too so for the customer who looks in different deep side it helps PULSE alot to go with, because it is customers choice.

Exterior

 Though it is a modified version of Micra, Pulse looks more wicked and masculine. The front look of the car has been given a mean finish and is an eye catcher (The huge Renault sign). However i am not very happy with the rear look of the car, its the same as micra.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 The interiors are again dreamy, especially the color offered in the Rxl variant. Thr red and dark red interiors available in RxL variant are better than the beige ones offered in the high end variant and go best with the red color Pulse. The seats are comfortable and the car is compact but spacious, and so is the legroom. The tachometer has many features, its calculates the average, etc. The side mirrors can not only be adjusted from the inside, but also opened and closed too, which adds a luxurious touch to it.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 The engine is 1500 cc, smooth, and makes very less noise (as compared to other diesel cars - especially polo n fabia). I cannot confirm the fuel economy as of now. But hope it to be 19-23 pl. The gearbox is smooth and better than many cars.

Ride Quality & Handling

 I would like to give Ride quality 5 stars - i couldnt get my hands off the new pulse, i enjoyed driving it through the city roads and also on highway.

Final Words

 First i was very apprehensive about buying this car, as its a micra lookalike and renault is relatively new in india. But after buying the new Pulse, I am extremely satisfied with its looks and performance. The speed, mileage, features offered (at such reasonale price in comparison with its competitors in this segment) and the front look are the attractive features which interested me the most.

Areas of improvement  

 The tail lights (the rear design) does not do justice to the front mean look.

 

Front mean look, good mileage, less engine noise as compared to many diesel cars, pulsating pick uplook alike of micra. The rear look doesnt do justice to the front mean look of the car.

Sorry, Im not here to review abt the car. Its an Awesome car. I loved it when I saw them and loved it more when I started using it. I m here to share my experiance with Renault service center in Chennai. I Bought New Renault Pulse Car in June 2012. When I bought them the
sale service (in Anna nagar) was really good. I cant complain abt the Car. It is awesome car so far (touchwood).

Since Chennai has only one service center (Kiviraj, mount road) we have no other option. and there is nothing to complain abt my 1st service (as they don’t really check anything much except the carwash and vacuuming it).

Second service was horrible. My requirement was very simple, Just check the engine, change the oil, do under-body painting, wash the car. After having the car for whole day, they manage to do only one thing. Change the oil. the car wash not proper, they dint clean the car inside, under-body painting was not done. so i took the car from the center after complaining it to the manager.

Later the customer service person called and asked for feedback, so I gave 3/10. said the issue. then they sent a person to collect and redo the pending work after few days.

Then I met with an accident, the insurance guy dint co-operate as much. He wanted to file 2 complain for same accident. since the body had damage on both the side. for which i did bcos i had no choice.

After the insurance was cleared. they delivered the car after a week. My car body painting was done in awful manner, u can see the painting. Layers like Waves and there was a spring noise while driving, the noise was coming from the door. which was very annoying. Car wash was very bad, some white color stains was found in the car bcos of the soap they used. Again I went to service person 2nd time asked them to fix it. This took another day. Finally I thout everything was fixed and started using the car. But again an issue in the car door. the painting was pealing off. Could see the black color rust inside. when asked the service. they said they will fix it without any charge (as if I will pack for their mistake). Forgot to mention one more stuff. I changed my car tyre 2wice. Once it was a puncture (unfixable) and next time it burst while driving street. Service guys asked me question 'Did ur car tyre hit by a stone?'. I
replied him no I was flying the car.

"tyre kallu mela pogama parakuma?"

When asked abt that. he said he cant do any.. so i had to pay 7k to change the tyres. After so many incident, I got fed-up with their service. Dono who will take responsible for these bad experience.

Good Fuel economy, Style and Space.Service.

 

Exterior Excellent looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good to look interiors, adequate space and very comfortable.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is stunning, fuel economy is great at 23-24 in city with AC on and gearbox performance is just excellent.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is excellent and car is a pleasure to handle in city traffic. Would rate it a preferred buy among all diesel cars in the hatchback vairants.

The car comes with a four year/40000 kms warranty.

Base model comes equipped with lots of goodies like rear wiper, anti theft lock system, car audio system (only regret is it does not have usb port), automatic mirror adjustment from inside car, and of course power windows, power steering etc.  Service provided by the local guy is excellent probably because they want to replicate the success of nissan micra.

I took test drive of micra, i 20 diesel, volkswagen polo, ritz diesel, swift diesel etc and ultimately bought the pulse.

Fabulous engine with excellent pick up. low humming. fuel economy of around 23-25 in kmpl.Viper sucks. speed between slow and medium is problematic.

The Styling and usability of the Renault pulse is excellant.The standards of manufacture are very high with a high degree of precision in assembly.The european styling with simple but utilitarian design is very usefull and functional.

 Interior spacing is very good with comfortable seating for 4 and  very good boot space.The added features like power rear view mirrors Excellent Air conditioning , All door power windows are really very good. the onboard computer giving the present mileage and average and Kms to ZERO reading is very usefull.

Engine Performance is the highlight of this vehicle.Smooth drive even at 4th gear you can drive the car at 20 Kms/hour. The gearbox uis very slick with smoothe transmissions. the power train is always avalable for quick over taking, and in controlled driving conditions will give you upto 25 Ms/Litre of diesal. it is tested and prooved by me.at 100 to 130 kms/hour speed the vehicle is very stable adn breaks efficiently without any rolling.

 

Ride Quality & Handling is excellant and the gutters and pot holes are not felt at all....

 

Excellant car for city Riding and long distance travel. You will never feel the strain of driving.Do not buy any other deisel car before test driving Renault PULSE. The French Knows what they do in Automobile....

 

The dealer network has to improve.The service and accesory market is not upto the mark. hope it will improve as Renault establishes itself in INDIA.

Areas of improvement All my frieds rode it and said its amazing. compared with other cars the prise is too good. boot space and leg rooms are too good. only thing the audio system should be improved i e bluetooth connectivity and pen drive model. key less entry is an good option. if you fail to carry your key from the car and try to close, it gives an alarm. its also amazing. the feather touch start is wonderful.the ground clearance is poor, in speed breakers the under chase will get damage. the fuel mileage improves day by day. before 1000 kms it gave only 16 and below. after 2000 kms it gives nearly 19.7. and above. each and every time its pleasure to ride. the ac performance is an unbelieveable one. my humble suggestion is before you buy other cars pls go through a test drive with pulse.

Exterior Good Sporty look and stylish.  Nice headlamp.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good comfort, spacious and good finishes.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Silent engine and mileage around 22-23 km/l. braking not proper in control. I had driven only 2000 km, still waiting for first service... But no service center in my location.

Ride Quality & Handling Good handling and problem in braking system,

Final Words Need to improve some technical details in brakes, defoggers, reverse parking, Proper sealants in glass finishes, etc.

Areas of improvement I bought RXZ Dual Airbags Diesel Model on May 2012. Very impressive in style, mileage, comfort, rides control etc. Good Engine and pickup, tried max. Speed 140 km/h., with steady ride control. But very dangerous to drive in rainy season,,, Water drops covers the front glass and not visible to see outside in driver position.. I struggled 2-3 times in rainy season. No ABS and Stability control system. Please open service center all the main cities.

Exterior It is Good and the finishing is nice according to me.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Quality of Dashboard and music player should be improved.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine perfomance is Good. I cant assure how much mileage it is giving. The gearbox is good and for topend models the leather should be in black colour it will improve the look.

Ride Quality & Handling Good.

Final Words Renault is not having a Good name in INDIA ,It  should Improve a lot to lead in INDIA.

Areas of improvement It is having a Very poor Service,and the Management is worst than that. There is not even a proper response from the management(hyderabad). There is no Manager in the service centre to complain a problem. The same problem with the Higher authority people no response nor Value to the CUSTOMERS. Dont know about other places(rest of INDIA).
