DO NOT BUY NISSAN CARS  IN INDIA, YOU MAY BE CHEATED.

As I bought a Nissan SUNNY car through a GSA of HDFC Bank on 11th oct 2011 (Tuesday) and the Bank’s GSA Delivered this car at my home when I was not present. The Bank GSA came to my office and got all the papers signed by me. When I reached home and saw the SUNNY Car it was fitted with Nissan MICRA accessories as the MUDFLAPS and FOOTMATS etc. when tried to contact the Dealer m/s. MALWA MOTORS KARNAL the phone no. was given on Nissan website was FAKE and when tried to contact NISSAN Company the EMAIL ADDRESS of the Nissan India company is  FAKE.

And you do not even find any contact no. for the NISSAN company even worldwide websites. Anyhow when contacted the dealer m/s. MALWA MOTORS KARNAL, they say the company is giving the cars like this only.

Is it true that the Company could not complete the car and selling it in a hurry?and when called company’s customers care ( a call centre )  they promised to check the problem and promised to rectify the same in 72 hrs. but found no response as yet.

If the DEALER m/s. MALWA MOTORS KARNAL  is a cheater or the NISSAN COMPANY?

but in any case it spoils the name of the NISSAN.

I booked Nissan Sunny XV at Ichibaan Nissan Mumbai with Rs. 4,50,000/- as down payment and opted for car loan for the remainder amount from HDFC bank. My loan was approved but the bank did not disburse the amount to dealer stating that Ichibaan Nissan is a defaulter to loan taken from HDFC and hence they have blacklisted them. HDFC suggested me alternatives to get things sorted, (one of them being that the car be bought from ORION instead of Ichibaan). After this realization I started inquiring with the dealer and Hover Automotive India, asked them to transfer my booking to Orion, but they kept buying time to cause delay.

I made many complaints on Nissan customer care, but the 72 hour deadline to address the complaint was never met. I finally had to send a legal notice to Hover Automotive India who looks after nissan India operations, they too seemed very laid back in their attitude to solve this problem. Finally things got clarified that the owner of ichibaan is also the director for Hover Automotive India, who has defaulted on a Rs.75 crore loan from HDFC when he was a HONDA dealer. One month had passed but Hover Automotive India did not make any effort to get my car, even today Ichibaan is having my money!

I have finally canceled the booking since the parent company itself is a fraud, If they can cheat so openly while booking, one could only Imagine the after sales. It will be great if someone gives their suggestion or help me. Thanks

I had booked a car-Nissan Sunny XL(Petrol) (Browns grey ) on 31-01-2012 (Receipt No.- 1355 cash Am Rs 1,00000 on the time of Booking ) & Receipt No.- 1516 Am Rs 6,72704 after 40 days, at Orion Nissan Vashi Navi Mumbai, During the booking i was promised that they will delivery the car within 40 days of booking, so i decided to go for Nissan Sunny petrol as the diesel was getting late.

On the 40th day they called me & said that the car is in Transit & they will deliver the car within 10 days so kindly deposit the remaining balance of Rs 6,72704 ASAP.
So on 10th march2012 i transferred the full loan amount..
Now as per the 1st written promise i should have revived the car by 15th of march, but since there was no reply i called then again on 15th they said we will call you once your car is here. the car is in transit.
on 18th march i went to their office & there i spoke with their team leader, some how he convinced me that car is in transit today so it will be delayed for another 15 days.this time he had given in writing & stamped this was his 2nd written promise.
now on 28th march when i called up they said we dont know what is the status of your car & hence it will further delay, so then i decided to speak with their General Manager & ask him where is my car exactly . now again he some how convinced & promised me that you will get your car on 3rd of April2012 this was their 3rd promise...
so when i called then on 2nd april to know about my status ..they are still saying me that the car will still further delay for another 15 days....that means delivery after 80 days....for a petrol car..
on the 2nd april The General Manager said me that if you cancel your booking you will get your full money with i
nterest, & on the evening The CRM of that Orion Nissan call me up & says the car is delayed, if you want you can cancel your booking, but we will not refund your interest rate for the loan amount.
This time i lost my temper & decided to complaint against them on consumer court.

To start with, its an impressive car on the space and comfort front, with a great room for improvement in quality of interiors.. Was impressed with the rear seat comfort and hence had booked it!

I booked a Sunny XL petrol at Sky Nissan, Delhi. At the time of booking we were offered Free Insurance. However, a day before the delivery we were told that the scheme has been called off by the company and the dealer is helpless!! However we were assured that the Logistic charges of 7k would waived after a high court ruling in Delhi.

At the time of delivery (while we are at showroom), even the same was denied.

The only assistance we got from the dealership was on ease of cancellation!!

Nissan has a habit of manufacturing great VFM cars!! However, the problem exists on their choice of dealership & dealer network. A couple of my friends in US (who have used Nissan in past) have same experience.

Unfortunately, the company does not revert to any complaints on toll free number or over the e-mail.

This is a just a word of advise to all future buyers. Pls go ahead with your purchase if you are getting a great dealer experience. Else, ASS would be a big concern

Recently had trip from Bangalore to Tirupati Balaji (545.7 km return journey) in Nissan Sunny Diesel XL.

It took 6hrs for us to get a glimpse of Balaji in 300/- a ticket, the long queue was due to vacations in schools/colleges.

Ok, coming to caaaar, I had a fantastic experience on highway driving including both 6 Lane and 1 Lane.

The car behaved pretty well on highway, wherever, it required a vroom factor while crossing long trailers, got it from the diesel motor under its hood either by downshifting the gear or by hardening the accelerator paddle.

The top speed approached was 120kmph for few kilometers though. The mileage was checked with traditional tank full method. (Fuel pump also remains the same while re-fueling)

      1. MILEAGE The mileage on above said mixed lanes, I got is 21.9 kmpl (say it 22kmpl) with 100% AC ON (not even a single kilometer was driven without AC, including hill area of 15 KMs). Tyre pressure was 34 psi on all 4 tyres.

      2. ENGINE I felt no turbo lag with AC ON (3 passengers) while climbing hilltop; just provided right gear at right time. Love the engine noise.

      3. GEAR: Gear notchy, I am use to it now, but didn't find any difficulty while engaging the gear. Just followed my regular process of changing gear. (Relax the gar in neutral for fraction of second while downshifting/upshifting)

      4. BRAKES Is a great FEAR. The car stops (agreed), but passenger/driver feels jerk while braking, because of too many plusses (+), ABS+EBD+BA, it takes the software close to 0.5 second to engage/distribute proper brakes (EBD Factor). That raises the pressure in Nerves (sometime)

And, I was planning ahead of 2 seconds (and, that kept me awake while driving), whether, I can cross the vehicle or not. ABS was not tested as no sudden brakes were applied.

      5. COMFORT Amazing. My wifi use to get neck pain (cervical) while travel, but in this trip, she was as fresh as we were board in from starting point. :) so, it was great trip for me as she was in good mood when we landed back at home and was ready to go out for shopping in the evening. :) The small potholes were swallowed well by shockers.

      6. STABILITY As I said, it behaved well on highway, car was fully mannered, I tried cornering at 100kmph speed while co-passenger was asleep. There was no sudden reaction "Pls drive slowly, or be careful etc etc". Obviously, there was little boat like ride (body roll) while cornering, but speed was also a factor to be considered.

      7. ACCELERATION Is pretty good, I didn’t cross 2500 rpm, but managed to get 105 kmph speed at close to 2500 rpm (video is uploaded on FB Nissan Sunny Page)

      8. TYRE Noise is little audible in cabin once you cross 100+ kmph. But that was not an irritating factor.

      9. ACC Automatic Climate Control worked well. It was set on 23 degree, occasionally, I set it to 22 degree, and it was able to keep our minds cool. (No heat control/sun film installed so far)

      10. SEATS Are comfortable. But, more prone to get dirty because the fabric is so light in color. I am thinking of additional seat covers on it.

      11. STEERING Is responsive and light on slow drive and adequately heavy as speed increases, so gives a good confidence to go beyond 110. ONLY BRAKES CAUSES THE WORRY.

      12. Thinking of caaaar now, will add if I find something more.

      Overall Experience very good.

Guys, Yesterday managed to took TD of Diesel Sunny in Shahwar Nissan Bangalore.
      Few points and observations below:

      Legends
      TD = Test Drive
OMG = Oh My God :)

      Dealer Experience (Shahwar Nissan Bangalore)
      1. Sales rep Kiran was well-mannered and explained all the things very well.

      2. Vehicle was provided at very less waiting time. We hardly finished our tea before that itself we were ready for TD.

      3. The staff is trained and courteous.

Vehicle Experience (Nissan Sunny Diesel XV):
      1. The car was neat and clean.

      2. It is fully combination of PPP (Power, Performance and Price). Though it was a short test drive on the busy M.G Road and St. Marks road, but I was impressed.
Frequent gear shift was not required, although we were 4+1(child) loaded in the caaar. It was able to pull at the speed on 20-25kmph in 3rd gear without any hassle.

      3. Clutch pedal was little hard, not smooth like Manza quadrajet. (My personal opinion, it may differ to others)

      4. The gear shift was ok, as I couldn't take long TD and no frequent gear shift was done, so can't comment much on that. (Again my personal opinion)

      5. Coming to engine noise; it’s diesel, so you can't expect it to be silent like Honda city.

      6. Noise in the cabin is pretty audible in 2nd and 3rd gear, less or more likely in Swift, Swift Dzire, Fiesta Classic and Vento

      7. The ride was comfortable with 4 loaded, suspension worked well. But, it could be little more on softer side. But again, then probably it will scrap its belly on speed breakers.

      8. The fine vision meters are pretty good to look at while driving at day time. XL has no fine vision meters. It's old style (but can live with that too).

      9. Didn't get any speedbraker on the TD way (OMG, Bangalore is famous of back breaking speedbreaker), so couldn't perform Belly test :)

      10. I was able to find comfortable driving position easily (as i am 6'3", so it becomes hard for me to fit in any 2nd car on road like Fluidic, city, Ascent)
but this was not the case in Sunny, was able to fit with enough leg and head room in front. Headroom for me in rear was not that sufficient as my head was about to touch roof with millimeters of difference :)

      11. The interior was Grayish like we use to see in Alto or any other low end cars. (Nissan should have worked on that). But it looks quite airy while we sit inside and no piss-off factor involved while driving.

      12. A/C with automatic climate control worked well.

      13. Stereo is ok kind of, I was feeling vibrations on door side claddings (because speakers were fitted at foot level on the doors)

      14. Overall, my mother and wifey liked the acres of rear seat leg room :)

      15. The steering was light to drive at low speeds, since it's diesel, it was not lighter like petrol sunny. But response from steering was good.

It was a nice experience in overall and I see no deal breakers because of engine noise and speedometer dials or grayish interiors. (Personal opinion)
If we drive petrol vehicle with glass down to get the mileage, Sunny diesel has less cabin noise than that coming from outside 😝

Nissan Sunny is a great highway cruiser. You can sit back relaxed and enjoy your drive. Do not expect peppiness out of the engine, instead the car takes you over where you don't have to play much on gears to keep the vehicle in revv mode. Car feels well planted and doesn't jiggle around uneven roads. If you are a really lazy guy, well this is the ryt caaaaaar to sit back with a hell lot of leg space at the rear with a powerful rear vent. Service is always a nightmare for Nissan. Pros. Great cruiser Best riding comfort Best built quality Ample leg space Untiring Drive Cons Service issues Hard clutch and gear Less powerful AC Normal interior setup High maintenance cost Needs timing belt replacement in each 60k kms

I purchased Nissan Sunny XV model 2 weeks back and done nearly 1000 KMs. Following are my reviews.

Exterior Well designed Shape. XV model comes with fog lamps, electrically adjustable mirrors, alloy wheels. Gives a feel of luxury segment car (Toyota Corolla, Skoda Laura  etc. ). Everyone will be eying on your car, be careful!!!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Undoubtedly it has huge interior space. Even the front seats are push back, back seats has more than enough leg room.  One of my friend who is above 6 feet tall could able to sit comfortably. Seating height is conveniently paced so that we can go in and come out without bending. Back seat has cup-holder and  fitted with blower to pull A/C from front. We can switch the fan ON/OFF from back set the desired speed. XV model comes with power windows, integrated clear view instrument cluster for driver, which gives odometer, fuel gauge, mileage calculation, door ajar warning  & much more. CD player & Steering mount audio , however USB or iPOD connectivity is missing. Automatic A/C which is sensitive to outside temperature variations. All these feature gives a rich feel to driver. There are many more feature like keyless entry/start, SRS airbags which you will find in Nissan India website.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox One cannot notice any sound when engine is running under  2500 RPM.  First & second gears pickup is less when I compare with Honda city, but in the 4 & 5th gears ( >3000 RMP) I felt it delivers good power and engine responds linearly. Indian version of Sunny is tuned for optimal mileage and power. One can use this car for cruising not for racing. Which suites to my requirement. Gear shifting was bit tight initially, but after driving 100 kms, it all settled down.

Ride Quality & Handling Road grip is very good, driver gets a secure feeling on road. Even I took a bend at 110 KmPH speed  no noticeable body roll. Suspension is very good, even the car goes over path hole, you  will not feel the impact.  Since ABS is fitted (in all versions), the breaking is perfect.

Final Words Overall, I like the car now more than before I bought it. I feel satisfied for the value I got for my hard-earned money (even for XV variant). I spent another Rs 25,000 on accessories  and got leather covers, headset DVD display and reverse parking camera with display.

Areas of improvement Audio system can be improved to have USB & iPOD connectivity. Bluetooth connectivity to mobile would be a nice feature to add. I hope Nissan will comeup with an option of factory fitted LPG kit in future, which is a special requirement for India.

Good value for money. Large Space & reliable band name Nissan. Designed for family.Missing outright power for racing and over taking

I bought new car Sunny XV (diesel Top Model) on 30th Aug and today is 4th Oct.  Its only approx one month. And now my car have problem of start, Actually i just stopped my car for dinner near Kangra Himachal Pardesh ( National Highway 71) after when I come backed and ready for go  it’s not started . i tried lots but not L . I called RSA (Road services assistant) at 9:00 pm. I told him my car is not starting. What I do? First he simple ask what is an issue? I explained everything. After that he said Technician will come and checked the issue. I waited lot but nobody there I called 20 times then Technician come at 4:00 am ... And that fucking Technician comes there without any tool or machine. And even he don’t know how to start keyless car. They simply say u need to tow your car. It will fix in agency (Near agency NISAN  DADAMOTERS  Jalandhar ,Ludihana Road where I bought this car ). So again I called more than 40 times to RSA for towing van. its come at 10:00 am. (I have to wait 13 hrs for this .. that was really harassment ). Now main harassment in agency. They checked my car and said its some programming fault so we need one more day to fix this. I said okay but I need exact time when this issue will resolved, Service Manger said u will come tomorrow 3:00 pm. Your car will ready. I came there exactly 3:00 pm. And asked for my car status, he said we can’t fix this issue .. Technician will come from Chennai or Delhi from NISSAN they will fix and its take 6-7 days.

I just think what benefit of buying new top modal car is? It’s just 1 month and this issue.

My car is just run 5000 km and proper first check up after 1000 KM. So why I keep this defected car ?? those not working properly in month or in 5000 km. What will happen after 20000 km.

Please suggest me what i do? I wasted my three days; cancel important meetings, facing harassment.

My advice to all new customers doesn’t buy Nissan Cars.

All services are very very very third class.

No customer satisfaction. All over  0/10.

      Hi All,

This is an initial ownership report for diesel version.

My caar has already drove 6000+ kms during my 4 months ownership.

So, for quite longtime I am planning to replace my lovely baby ACCent CRDi which has run 1,50,000 kms on ODO. Which is very good sedan for highways. Only car suspensions became so weak other than that every thing is perfect with the car. But I am worried with the engine, becoming older and scarred to go long journeys fearing  of engine breakdown😉.So decided to sell my old accent car to  buy a new caar. I took the car delivery in Lucky nissan, vijayawada and sadly did not received any single free goodies.Dealer also has charged 6000 rs  as handling charges.

1St Long Journey: The day after receiving my caar,we embarked to travel to Bellary. Total five people with my 2 months old baby with luggage of 90+ kgs in boot. after reaching my destination, I checked my mileage using full tank method and found to be 21+ km/liter. I have not noticed the average fuel indicator of my drive computer.not aware of it as it new to explore all. In this trip, I have not crossed 90 kms and half of the roads are not 4 lane mixed  with bad roads. And sadly my 2 days old caar has broken his rear view driver side mirror (not the complete set only the mirror inside got broken) . I am travelling at 80+ kms speed on a rural village road and suddenly from my right side a mob of crashing buffalos rushed towards my car through a small bushy road.I hve applied sudden brakes and bufalo crashed my rear view mirror , due to this crash mirror inside the set got loose and fell over the road and broken to pieces. The rear view mirrors are just hooked into the set and they are very delicate too.

2nd Long Journey:This time I traveled with my wife and baby from Blore to Vijayawada. maintained proper tyre pressure and maintained speeds of 100 kms /hr. once after reaching my destination my driver computer is showing 29.1 km/lit.  I am so surprised and got my tank filled and found to be nearly 26 kms/liter 😎 whhich is really a fantastic mileage figure.

one of trip from Hyd - Blore recently, I have got a mileage of 23.8 km/liter with me and wife+baby and boot of 50+ kgs.And drive computer showing me 28.9 km/liter. Drive computer seems to be largely varies with reality when car is fully loaded and boot contains heavy luggage.

I am really happy with the mileage I am getting in city and highways.

City driving: Sunny is very easy to drive in city and highways. You would have a bird view like sight when sitting in driver seat.No turbo lag, even at 25 kms speed you can drive in 3rd gear. I used to get 17 -18 km/liter in blore city driving.

Major problem of this car is  GC is very less when driving on bad roads and big bumps. My sunny has scrapped many times n blore city when car is fully loaded and boot containing airport lugguage of 90+ kgs. please follow the tyre pressure guidelines near to your driver seat. earlier I did not followed and later after following it, feeling better now. Rest I do not see any major issues and it all depends on how you feel it.

      Exterior Good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lots of space inside comared to my accent CRdi, feels very luxurious driving a long sedan. but long car comes with a disguise that parking becomes difficult and should be careful going in to narrow streets in corners.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent mileage in city and higways. easy to drive in city and highways. no turbo lag. It is ready to take a high gear on less speed. I feel uncomfortable with 2nd gear all the time, bit jerky in this gear. I have not crossed 100+km speed, Do not know how it behaves after that 😝 Accent crdi gear rod is ver small compared to sunny one.

Ride Quality & Handling Feels good and can take small bumps easily and suspensipns/tyres did not crash on rural roads with small pothole bumps. Soft suspenssion becomes saggy when fully loaded and need to be careful when taking on biggggg blore bumps.

Final Words It is a practical car for driving both in city/higways. very good mileage and found to be less maintainence. More service centers to be located in and around the tier 1 cities.

      Areas of improvement NA.

      Regards,

      Satya.

excellent mileage, space, boot, premium features, feel like driving a long carGC is a major issue, only one service center in tier 1 cities

I am writing this review to caution all about the horrible expereince i had with Nissan Dealer 'Orion - Navi Mumbai'.

I have booked a Nissan Sunny XV on 9th February, 2012. Since this was a purchase through my company the etinre amount including Insurance and Corporate registriation was paid to the dealer on the spot.

The dealer advised delivery time within 30-45 days.

There was no update from the dealer in the interim period. Upon nearing of the deadline, I started following up for delivery with the dealer and I was told it would be delayed by a couple of days.

Subsequent to that I got a letter from the dealer that due to some issues with their principals, M/S.Hoover Motors, all deliveries of Nissan Sunny are indefinately delayed.

I visited the showroom several times, which carried a complete deserted look and there was no effort or professionalism to service or address the agrrived customer like myself.

Upon seeing the state of affairs, i demanded full refund of the money I have paid. Fifteen days down the line, neither do I have any refund nor I have any commitment on delivery date.

Today when I checked, it was a rude shock to learn that the dealer can not commit on delivery at the same price that was fixed on 9th February and if I need the car I would have to pay extra as per the current Ex-showroom price and Increased Registration charges.

Orion Nissan dealership is a bunch of cheats and I would like to warn everyone, not to deal with them.
