The new BMW 5 Series to roll out from BMW India dealerships
31-Jul,2007Mumbai, 31 July 2007. The new BMW 5 Series Sedan produced at the BMW Plant Chennai will roll out from BMW dealerships across India in August 2007. The new BMW 5 Series will be available in three petrol variants - 523i, 525i and 530i and one diesel variant – 525d.
More convincingly than any other car in its class, the new BMW 5 Series will thrill motorists with its combination of luxury and elegance, and sporting power and performance. Powerful and efficient engines, skilfully designed and crafted optical highlights, enhanced refinement of the interior, and a wide range of fascinating innovations such as enhanced iDrive, new 6-speed automatic transmission and electronically-controlled gearshift raise the driving experience to a new, unprecedented level.

Ex-showroom prices for the petrol variants range from Rs. 37 lakhs for the 523i, Rs. 40.9 lakhs for the 525i to Rs. 45 lakhs for the 530i. The ex-showroom price of 525d is Rs. 42.4 lakhs. These prices are applicable across all BMW dealerships in India.
The new BMW 5 Series Sedan will be available in an exclusive range of paint finishes: Black Sapphire, Monaco Blue, Titanium Silver and Platinum Grey and Luxurious Upholstery Materials: Dakota Leather Black, Dakota Leather Grey and Dakota leather Beige.

Presently, eight dealers represent BMW in the Indian market; Bird Automotive (Gurgaon, NCR), Deutschen Motoren (New Delhi); Navnit Motors (Mumbai), Infinity Cars (South Mumbai); Krishna Automobiles (Chandigarh); Navnit Motors (Bangalore), Delta Motors (Hyderabad) and Kun Exclusive (Chennai). Owing to an exuberant growth potential, BMW is hopeful of multiplying its annual sales volume and has already chalked out an extensive dealer strategy to support its plans. Phase I of the Dealer network expansion plan would include 12 dealers covering all metropolitan centres of the country by the end of 2009.
BMW India has also partnered with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance for offering motor insurance and with ICICI Bank to offer customised financial solutions for its customers. These products and services are offered through the BMW Financial Services.
