Exterior The outlander has unique looks. The front grill is attractive as also the rear sproiler. The bonnet has a distinct "nose" which looks stunning. Head lamps are eye catching.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I am highly impressed with the interiors of the outlander. The beige leather seats with a touch of black and beige interios is very appealing. The display and controls all cool. There is loads of space including the boot. The rear handrest could have been a bit better though.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is noiceless. One can easily mistake & try to restart an running engine. The best quality of the SUV is the seamless automatic transmission, which along with a sedan like ride makes the SUV effortless to drive. At 8 to 9 kms in city & 12 kms on high way, the fuel economy is very reasonable as compared to similar products.
Ride Quality & Handling The Outlander has undoubtedly superior ride quality as compared the CRV. The handling is exceptional at high speeds & sharp turns.
Final Words At 22 lacs the outlander has potential to beat its rivals easily. Driving the Outlander will make one an Mitsubishi fan for ever. I would recommend the outlander over the over priced CRV any day..A little aggressive marketing by HM should do the trick for the Outlander.
Areas of improvement A little softer supensions will be helpful. Rear bucket seat option should be considered. On optional foldable third row should be provided in the Indian version.
