Dear readers,

I am a proud owner of this car for approx 3years and have completed 100000kms. It was a 2nd hand purchase which I did I have used it very extensively for pretty long drives of few thousands of kms also at one stretch.

E.g :- Ranchi Bangalore (up-down) 2 times which itself is coming to a total of approx 5000 kms with visiting nearby places.

Pros of the car are as follows:-

1. Immense space and when seats are reclined then the space becomes comparable to maruti van

2. Good seating position for the front and rear one makes them feel comfortable in long runs.

3. Effective ac of the vehicle beats out the summer in hot 40 degree plus temp also.

4. EPS makes the car more smooth in tight city driving condition and makes the car move like water.

Cons for the car:-

1. Due to height it is sometime giving a feel of unstability at very high speed.

2. Aerodynamic feature is also not very good in that model which also reduces the fuel efficency to some extent.

Overall the car is very brilliant with a powerful and bullet proof engine which is rock solid after 1.5 lac kms also.

If someone can own then this is a car for owning at smaller segment which you can say

"OWNER'S PRIDE AND NEIGHBOUR'S ENVY".

Hi Rajesh, The mileage which i have received in my vehicle after driving it 98500kms is as below:- city with a/c:- 12.5 kmpl city without a/c:- 14.71 kmpl highway with a/c:- 16.6 kmpl highway without a/c:- 18.8kmpl sometime i have also received mileage of 22kmpl but that is only when am at optimum speed of 60 kmpl and dont apply too mnay brakes and change gears.

Hi Babitha, You can definitely go ahead and gift this car to your beloved parents. This is a very good car with a rock solid performance. You should not worry about the body roll discussion which we are having above as the same starts happening when you are really driving the vehicle very fast and on hill the speed is any how very slow and you should not at all worry for same.

Dear Devashish, I have actually not felt that the pedal is not appropriately placed as i have drove this vehicle at a stretch of 1300 kms and the journey was very very comfortable except the tiredness which was there because of very long continuos travel.

Deepak I do not agree with the unstability concept of Deepak. Wider base and narrower top gives pyramidal look which makes wagon R most stable. Center of gravity in pyramidal shapes does not matter. I strogly disagree.

The unstability theory at higher speed is incorrect. This is probably a misunderstood concept height vs centre of gravity. The car is designed so that it got good stabiltiy at high speed. I have driven this car upto 120 KMPH for strech of 15-20 KM and never found unstable. Many times these are depend on the driving habits. Panicker

PUT £41 POUNDS IN TRAVELD ON BOTH MOTOR WAYS AND COUNTR ROADS IN THE LAKE DISTRICT AND DONE 418 MILES AVERAGE 40+ I CALL THAT VERY GOOD FOR A 1300CC ENGINE

Please let me know what is the mileage on highway roads? I hear different from numbers from different people.

Hey can i go ahead and gift this car to my parents, is it worth ???? I do stay in Hill station, is this car a suitable car for hill station???

I have heard from some users that the position of racing paddle is awkward and driver gets tired. Plz someone throw light on this problem.

Rustagi10 on 20 May, 2008 at 03:58 PM

i do agree that it become unstable at high speed specially over 120 KMPH. Even taking curves at 60-70 KMPH it feels like it will go out of controll.
