[^^quote=staneja^^] Dear Friends,
I have written a review on Maruti Suzuki SX4 and look forward to your comments on it.
Review Link: SX4 not good value for money, SWIFT is better for city traffic, Indigo XL is better as a sedan
SX4 is really not value for money . I owned SX4 ZXi in Aug 2007. So far driven 16700kms. Initially I was very proud of my SX4, but now filling comfortable as vehicle is shaking on slow speed . I thought that it may be due to wheel allaingment & balancing , & got done twice , but problem remaince there. No good millage 9.5 city & 10 on highways

Well oviously you have NO IDEA about cars when you are comparing a C+ segment car with a B+ segment car(Swift).
In that case, why on earth do people buy BMWs when they get the similar features in an Accord or a Civic .. the answer is - BECAUSE THEY CAN !!
The customers look for features, options and CLASS...
CLass is one BIG thing the "TATA INDIGO XL" doesnt have as its a stupid TAXI CAB for all you know ..
So,Mr Taneja, get a life and stop trying to write REVIEWS .
Have a nice day !

Well i see with Linea in the market, SX4 sales have down considerably. Apart from the high GC and for the service network, noting much to talk about in this car. Compared to Linea, I would not call SX4 a VFM car either.

HI Guys lots of comments good to see ,to be honest car are depreciating not appreacting so it will never give any output ,so my choice will be swift rather than any sedan as it would cost 3 lkhs more then swift ,however if one wants to go with sedan can go for SX 4 as i have taken a test drive and it is superb in performance ,though its sterring is little tough and reverse view is minimum.but still i would recomend to invest the money which you be shelling out to buy a sedan somewhere in the sh

So if you are not a rallyist :) , then go for a petrol version that comes cheap and lesser maintenance expenses as well

Joe, if your reason for SX4 diesel is just fuel economy consider this. Usually diff in price of petrol and diesel car is in range of 100,000. If we take the fuel cost of a diesel car at 2.5 per km ( Rs38/15km) and that of a petrol @ 4.2 ( 50/12) , the differntial is 1.7 rs per km. so you have to clock atleast 58,000 to cover the price diff. But today's diesel cars have more power than the petrol variants. I have a crdi viva, but my next car is surely a SX4 petrol

rSX4 is designed for Indian road conditions. Its drivers pleasure compared to Honda city, Verna, Aveo, Ford Fiesta. Honda City low pickup and low ht for drivers, Verna poor pickup, Aveo hitting the left leg, Ford Fiesta slightly sluggish. Compared to all the other cars(i have test driven them all for not less than 30 km), SX4 is absolute pleasure powerhouse for self driving. I am not commenting on cheap plastics or the quality of audio. Just about self driving comfort of a powerful Indian Car

Joe, buy diesel only if your monthly running exceeds 1200kms. SX4 would be cheaper to buy and will serve your high ground clearance requirement.
