Grand Vitara - Tested

After clocking 11800 kms on the GV, I have had a mixed experience that leans more towards the positive. While rattles crept in at an early stage, they have remained similar to when it was 2 months old. The steering used to pull excessively to the left, but its now a thing of the past after some good service. I recently took if off road and its here that the GV comes into its own. Compared to the likes of the CRV, the off road capability as well as its ability to take a beating is far superior. Everything works the way it was meant to and while at times you may crave for a little more power, its reasonable for most stuff you throw at it. Overall if you are not too perturbed about the lack of a plush ride and want to do what this machine it best at, you should be happy with the money you spend.
