I have a maruti 800 ex 5speed and it gives nice performence in the road of assam.Top speed is about 115km/h and fuelefficiency is about 24km/l at an speed of 40 to 50 km/h.Low maitanance cost.A little problem with headlight. In its top speed it feels like sliding on the road and a little problem creats on controling.

I have bought new 8oo DX in 2001 june.It clocked 1,07,000 km.I have made a lot of trips from Hyderabad.I have been to Coonoor (900km),Kudremukh(780km),Madikeri(800km),Horsley Hills(680km),Maredumilli(650km)in our car. It's been driven on horrible roads in most of these trips. But not even once I faced a problem.Except for AC,the car is great.I give it for servicing every 4000 km.Till this date the Engine is not touched.maintenance costs are minimal. It gives 17km/lt in city.I love the car. Hi Friends,
This is quite obvious that it will give better performance as the engine is same as Alto and the suspension is same as Zen.

Yes I agree to your comments. But I have purchased a 5 speed maruti 800 A/C owned by a Doctor which has run around 64,000Kms.It was purchased at a cost of Rs,1,30,000/-. Now I feel it is worth after seeing the comments and also I am fully convinced. My worry is what type of check required apart from the chasis and outside frame are in good condition- (i.e., free from rust and dents)Can I take this car forlong drive. Please suggest.WWhat will be fuel efficieny in City as well as on highway.Suria.
