I have travelled extensively across the country but never had any major issues with my car, but I guess age is catching up with the Uno (its 8 years old with about 1.07 on the clock). Seeing the present state of the roads, we have decided not to go for a sedan ( was oscillating between City / Fiesta) but an SUV instead. Mahindra service has really got me impressed and hooked.

I've gone out checked the Safari/Scorpio/Bolero. I felt the Safari was too huge (am an average sized person) and from the driver's seat felt as if I was sitting on the terrace. I have test driven both the CRDe and DI Turbo versions of the Bolero.

Can I get the result from more users on the result after mixing SysD/2T Oil with Diesel.

to reduce engine clatter there's a set of Butyl pads that are available easily at decent auto kitting shops. All you got to do is stick them under the bonnet (the empty places under the bonnet?) and the noise reduces a lot. Agreed that it makes lifting the bonnet a bit of a struggle, but think how much you'll save on Disprin :)

yes system D is just one of the diesel additives that can be had from good spare parts dealers.it comes in a small plastic bottle, its added 1 ml(approx.)/litre of diesel.so if your fuel tank is of 60litres,you'll need to add 60ml of that additive in your diesel tank.2t oil n additives like system D act as natural boosters 4your engine n pump.they help also if wrong or adultrated fuel is added which might ruin the pump.4best results use alternatively, say on on1 fillup add 2t oil n next use sys D

THANK YOU MAHEEP.CAN YOU PLS GIVE ME SOME MORE INFO ABT THE SYSTEM D.

Maheep on 23 Feb, 2008 at 04:28 AM

i'm continuing from above, the oil doesnt deposit in form of carbon on pistons n rings.it works through the pump, lubricates all the valves, seals, the pump plunger and does a superb job of self maintaining ur pump n the fuel injection system.in the long run u'll notice ur enjine has better pick up,better starting, more fuel efficient and also thetypical diesel engine clatter is also reduced.there r other systems available in market 4 commercial use such as system D,u can try those too, those help to

engine noise can be reduced to an extent by a no of factors.i'm a long time user n nw almost a mechanic myself in diesel engines.anyway 1st regularly change the engine oil say after an interval of max 5000,and use good grade engine oil, like in castrol series dont go below crb,n better would be RX super. anyway then on each alternate fuel tank fill up with diesel, add about 300-500ml of 2T oil(2stroke engine oil),the oil is of very light viscosity and hence doesnt deposit itself on pistons
