Hyundai i20 became my own, first car, purchased in Jan 09. With no experience to driving at all (have been a biker all my life) and having trained on a Swift Dzire to get my license, the first look of this new "i" said it all. Be it interiors, finishing, grip on the road and even so much talked about milage, it does come up to the expectation. Swift was good but this seems to be better (of course with a 50K additional price tag on the premium model), and its worth it.

As a layman, I did see it to be laggard during pick up with AC on; however my friends told me that could be because of the power of the Hyundai AC's itself. I am also evaluating the fuel economy and would publish it later but my feeling right now is that its close to 14Km w/o first servicing done and with 50:50 City:Highway driving. (Data: Driven 360 Km with half tank of fuel/gas left)

No doubt its a good car, with lots of new and good features, but lacks a lot in power, with very less power to weight ratio compared to swift. which in returns will reflect in the mileage part. also the price factor, its too high compared to swift, who has already proved its worth since its launch in 2005, still winning awards in JD Power's APEAL and IQS. So its totally worthless to say that it will outnumber swift.
