Hii guyz...i'v booked i20 magna yesterday nd will b getting mine on 25th of dis month..its 1.2l petrol magna....as i'v heard a lot bout its ac problem dat its effectiveness is not so much as compared to other carz..it doesn't giv a chilling effect...also its avg. in city is around 13-14 as per hyundai sales exec but in actual i heard its giving only 9....i currently own santro....nd as per dis forum discussion i also has confusion bout car being underpowered.....i live in Allahabad where tep. in summers reaches 48 C and its also a very congested city...traffic everywhere...on an avg. speed in city is 30...my monthly running is around 600 kms approx.....is my decision rite...my family members doesnt know much about technical aspects so they are pretty happy with da i20 being so spacious and huge car in its segment...they belive we hav made a rite decision but after reading all the reviews on net im in a dilemma now...dat should i cancel i20 or should i go for it

Moral of the story is not that i20 is the best (it may or may not be) but evry car has a positive and negative side. One has to choose as per his or her requirement.
As far as i20 is concerned its the current flavour and we Indians tend to go where the crowd goes (no pun intended) . It has to be seen whatthe new Swift (to arrive soon) has to offer compared to i20.

Dear Friend,
1. All tthe Cars in this segment are of Maxm 1200CC. We all know why...(Excise Duty benefit if your are not aware).
2. If you check the specs of other cars in this segment..i20 has maxm power and maxm torque at defined (lower then other) rpm. This means better pickup at low speed as well.
3. Some people say its same engine as of i10. Well, the same housing(engine) can deliver diffrent power. How ??? just as an example i10 has SOHC (single overhead cam) and i20 is DOHC( Double over head cam)...what doen it means??? It mean better efficincy at defined power.
4. Best Interior.
5. Excellent Milage.
6. Very Light Steering....
List is endless.....just test drive it for 10kms...you will understand...

Guys: We do differ from one another on a lot of things, but that does not give us any right call each other names, or even worse, abuse one another. Please behave responsibly, more so when you differ in your opinions.

I read these posts today afternoon. Man! I was ROTFL. Seriously, calm down friends. No point discussing i20 vs other. Every car works differently for different person. Or we can saw that same car makes different impression on different people.

Have been reading some of the comments in this thread.
Lets not call each other names. It gives us as well as the forum a bad name. Lets try to behave like responsible adults here.
A bit of Gandhigiri please
