sorry to disapoint you guys the getz and santro model will be phased within the next year and to be replaced by I10 and I20 (their prices will be bought down lower to the getz and santro levels) and Hyundai is planning to launch a sedan in 4 to 5 lakhs range

I own Hyundai 1.1 GVS Option from three months. Looks are really good comparing to its competitors but initial pick up is the worrying concept of this variant. You really cannot move your car with out throttling it and the mileage is also not so impressive, I am getting 11 to 11.5 in the city and in the highways it varys depepnding on the speeds you race the car. If you race between 100 to 110 KMPH it will consume around 1 ltr for every 12 to 12.5 KM whereas if you go between 80-100 you get14-1

Hi Ashish
Getz top end model is certainly worthful to possess. And the decision to switch from your current Indica is dependent on various factors, and can be better assessed by yourself. Well, atleast I didnt face any problem with the dealers, and you might be right about the availability in remote areas, but again most of them also do not have that reach. Mind you Hyundai is competing with Maruti in dealers aspect, and the difference is not much I believe.
Think wisely and take a pick.

Hi Shrikant,
Its a very descriptive & nice review I have ever seen. I am owning an INDICA XETA 1.2 GLG ( Petrol Version ) for more than 1 year by now. Uptill yet I am quite satisfied with the vehicle performance. But reading your review, I am thinking to change my vehicle with Getz 1.3 GLX. Is this decision worth? For Hundai the most worrying part is Dealer network. I have seen Hundai dealers only in big cities. What if you are in remote area & vehicle breakdowns? Please reply. Mob 9011050938

Hi Aniruddha
Thanks for the comments, nice to know that you have same opinion as me on the car and you're right about the cabin light, they should placed it more ergonomically.
Surog - I am correcting the mileage figures, I get approx 12-13 in city and 17 on highways.
Srikanth.

Hi,
Good review. I also own the same model and I am very satisfied. Good space, built quality, riding comfort. The pick-up and performance is also nice. The only thing that I am a little disappointed about is milage. I get around 12.5 Km in city and about 14 on highways. My car has done 22000km now.
Over all a good car and an excellent value for money.
One funny thing. The cabin light in my car is placed at the centre of cabin and not at the base of rear view mirror. I hope they change it.

Hi Srikanth, Unlike all others you claimed that you get a whooping mileage of 14 in city and 18kmpl on highways.
Can you recheck the figures and revert as I am too looking out for the same model.
