10 days back I purchased this car but with CNG fitted. It is excellent on CNG. No drop in pic-up, You will not feel that You are driving CNG car. costing only Rs.1.15 with AC on.
I just crossed 600kms.
Some draw backs which I feel after my previous Santro car, which I drove for last 6 and half year with 1.06 lacs kmts.,are that sitting is very low. coming out and moving in is not easy. lots of fog on windscreen in rainy season. Not much space inside for placing things. Like dash board is very big, but practicaly you can not keep any thing there not even mobile. No arm rest at rear seats.power windows can not be operated without keys at on possitions, so you can't leave any family member inside the car waiting.
Except these drawbacks, it is very economical on CNG. Suspention is very good.I drove with nearly 200kg in boots. 75kg CNG + 125kg luggage.

Go grab this car.

Hello Irish,

I have Hyundai Accent Oct 2008 Model (Euro III). I drove around 21800 KMs on petrol. I initally thought to sell it even listed on Carwale and getting offers till 350000 but then I think selling it and buying Swift Diesel I will be making no profit no loss in 3 years even if I keep running my Accent on Petrol because of extra cost of 250000 of Swift. Since I have not run my car much its in excellent condition...

Can you please help me which CNG kit to get installed? I called CEV in Kalkaji, they told me sequential kit, which is best and called as company fitted is installed in only Euro IV models..

What kit would you advice and in your opinion should I go for Swift Diesel or stay with this car for two more years with CNG. I drive around 100 KM daily for four days a week.

I live in east delhi near IP extension itself you can also email me details at kamesh.jain@yahoo.com

Thanks & Regards

Kamesh

Hello Irish Currently I am owning a Zen 1996 and now i want to convert to a big car ( due to boot space). I am yet again planning for a second hand Accent as I travelling is just on weekends, but i often travel to HP my native place, which is 900 kms every quarter. So, how would it be buying a 2005-2006 Model GLE/GLS? I am more concerned about the maintainence part. As with ZEN I just get it serviced Twice a Year ( 5000 Yearly Running.). Also will the second had be a good option here? what do

Please let me if there may be any chance I can meet up with you in person. I reside in I.P.Extension and may not be far(bhagat230@yahoo.com). cheers

Hi Irish, Can you please let us know...how much boot space is compromised with CNG cylinder fitted. Is there any room left to keep other stuff? Thanks, Manish

i am interested to purchase Hyndai Accent CNG/LPG. Let me know the maintainence charges as compare to maruti swift dezire or mahindra logan 1.4

Rishi Mohan on 23 Nov, 2009 at 01:51 PM

@Kanwar.Capacity of CNG is 9kg to 10 kg. Maximum. Not heard of leaks for such short duration. But you can feel bad smell, if not use on patrol or patrol tamk is full for long. Irish
