I would suggest, you to have a test drive of both the vehicles, find out which car suits your driving style the best and inside which car, you are comfortable and takes minimum adjustments for you to be comfortable to drive.

Dear Alister.
Whatever you have written in your feedback regarding Palio Stile 1.6 Sport is 100% accurate right upto the mileage figures.
I had purchased mine in Nov. 2007. Whatever you have said matches. Further, I have had no issues with service. Lexus Motors in Kolkata does the needful.
Try driving your palio on the highway alone at night in heavy rain & wind. Do the same with any other car in the B segment. You will appreciate your decision even more.
Basu Roy.

Kumar, I never tried in the first gear. As many suggest, first gear is meant to move the car, not top speed fancy. I am scared it might cause engine wear&tear. Well, I am not auto-guru. I speed up in 2 gear to have the thrill of hearing screeching sound when students stand outside our college, just to show off.
The second service was done last week and I had a long drive to Kannay kumari. The Mileage I got was 14. Driving speed was as usual 80 -120, full A/C. I really enjoy my palio

It may touch even 60Km in 1st gear as it's a DOHC engine, But I did not try next time i will try ?

it is really comfortable to drive in high speeds. We have no speed limits here, only problem is, as you cross 80, 100, you will the reach the vehicles in front of you very quickly and you have to slow down. If the road is open and less vehicles press the accelerator and you go confidently...
