Exterior

The sporty exteriors of Audi R8 contribute to its commanding presence on the move. The single- framed radiator and bi-xenon headlamps add to the bold looks of the car. The distinctly designed car flaunts narrow taillights, large air dams, four tail pipes and retractable spoiler in the rear end. Audi R8 surely offers a comfortable ride to its occupants.

Engine

Under the hood of Audi R8 lies a powerful 4.2 L V8 FSI petrol engine, which pumps out a power of 420 bhp @ 7800 rpm and a maximum torque of 317 Nm @ 4500-6000 rpm. The engine is linked to 6 speed manual gearbox. The car accelerates from rest to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and promises to deliver a top speed of 301 km/h.

Interiors

The capacious interiors of Audi R8 are richly appointed, exuding the elegance and sophistication of the cabin of a motor sports car. It features highly comfortable seats, upholstered in finest Nappa or Alacantra leather. The trendy instrument panel flaunts a premium music system with stereo effect and 12 loudspeakers. It also gets navigation system and parking-sensor system. The coupe has a cargo shelf, which provides space for storing small bags.

Ride And Handling

Audi R8 has been equipped with magnetic ride adaptive damper system, with shock absorbers. The front and rear suspension systems work in coordination, to absorb the bumps on potholed Indian roads. A special fluid is used in the shock absorbers that further add to the smoothness while driving on critical road conditions.

Safety

The advanced safety features of Audi R8 ensure a relaxing ride and maximum protection to the passengers. Apart from the Antilock Braking System (ABS), electronic stability control and traction control, the car comes with seat-mounted and knee-protecting airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, driver and passenger head restraint whiplash protection system, remote anti-theft alarm system and tyre pressure monitor system.

Audi R8 is priced at Rs 1.17 Crore (approx) and has only one variant - R8 4.2 L FSI. It is available in four vibrant colors, including Metallic Jet Blue, Metallic Ice Silver, Pearl Effect Daytona Grey and Pearl Effect Phantom Black.
