I am updating the review after driving spark for an year now. still I would say thumbs up to GM for a fantastic work. To break the Matiz image and making it better while keeping similar identily was not an easy job. I have driven it at 135kmph several times and the way feels, no other 1lt engine can do that. Comfort level is high and quality of plastics in the interior always bring a smile. though the aluminum finish on door pannels (inside) is a letdown, it peels off easily. with all the discounts pouring in it is still the best entry level car.

to all you guys who wanna buy a car i wud say go and drive ur options urself. Mileage, power and space is similar for all in the segment (near to each other). What ultimately matters is the driving and ownership experience. for me Spark scores above all with heavy margin.

wagon r drives really well but looses on looks.

estilo - mix feelings, drive:ok, looks : down

santro: needs a good makeup badly, i prsonally doubt life of engine

Already Done 29,500 kms till date. Spark LT is performing very well. Met with an accident too and parts prices.... cheap!! not costly really! Front Bumper: 932.16/-, Bonet: 2972.69/-, Headlamp: 2200/-, Radiator: 2697.78/-, a.c. condensor: 5500/- As far as performance is concern, I am getting 13+ all the time in busy city traffic of Lucknow. Definitely 1+ kms better than the Wagon-r & Santro. Its been two years and engine is still super silent.

HI ALL, I HAD READ ALL THE ABOVE COMMENTS,I HAD BEEN IN DUBAI FOR 8 YEARS AND I HAD DRIVE BMW,MERC,TOYOTA ETC FROM COMPANY PROVIDED BUT WHEN I TOOK PERSONNEL CAR I WENT ACCORDING TO MY BUDGET IN OUR BUDGET GENARALLY WE WILL LOOK SAFETY, QUALITY, LOW MAINTENANCE ANS FUEL ECONOMY, SO I PURCHASED CHEVROLET EPICA AND I FELT NO CAR LIKE THAT IN SAFETY FEATURES AND PERFORMANCE, HENCE MY SUGGESTION IS GO AND TAKE A TEST DRIVE AND FEEL THE DIFFERENCE YOURSELF & TAKE THE DECISSION SPARK IS TOP 1 Jaaved

really its all confusing every one has a point . but I think Rajiv has solid points which are worth notice . Its up to u what u want 2 get from a car economy or comfort.But some one plz tell me the diff. in the cost of spares (not the study/comp. of the chevy company)for maruti and spark coz after free grace pariod one has to go for them.

buy low problem car ie.swift...from very good-dealer And No & Never to i10/i20/i30/spark/u-va/logan/ikon/LPG/CNG/ZEN/800-LPG/ WAGON-R-DUO/santro/dzire-petrol/getz/l20-diesel/Ritz/santro-CNG.LPG/spark & spark.LPG/u-va/scorpio/altis/tata.nano/tata.xeta/marina/honda-jazz/ford-fusion/jazz/i20/i10era/LPG/CNG/accent/tavera/innova/maruti-Ritz/mnm-xylo(8kmpl) it is most advisable to all middle-class person who can't change their car within a year or so if realizing the mistake later.

so the model with power steering & ac along with AMC cost around 3.2 lac on road...the black bumpers can be painted with body colour from open market in 1000rs....since AMC is paid, you dont spend even a single money maintaining the car ..you just pay fuel cost only....best value for money....i have bought it & am very happy with the performance..infact after my buy..5 of my friends & relative have also bought it & they are extremlly happt with it..go for it.its miles miles ahead of competiton

maruti hyundai spares parts...this study is also available in GM website...also feel the sturdiness & build quality of spark...way way beyond maruti...maruti cars are prone to rattles & squeaks at very low km itself...there is no body rattle in spark...even at high speeds...there is no engine or under body noise or vibration...wherein every maruti cars pants up around 3 digit speed...spark can easily go upto 140kmph & bahaves like a big car....its a big car from inside as well...value for money

spark with such innovative features like tubeless tyres in this segment car, center console...excellent ac in delhi heat....bag hanger....etc...marutoi cars are all cramped....even wide swift with such a large posterior has no space in rear.....with this price tag , u also get best ever wty of 1lac km...also AMC also cost only 10000rs which is again cheap...also calculate spares parts cost of spark with other maruti hyundai models...oil filter,air filter,fuel filter are actually cheaper than...
