Advantages

  • Handling
  • spacious interiors
  • Ride Quality
  • Suspension
  • Value for money

Disadvantages

  • Large size
  • Plain looks

The Superb does not differ much from the Octavia or Laura but one thing for sure is that it looks more elegant and classy. It bears characteristic clean profile and simple design. The front grille and headlights add to the charm. The lines are well proportioned and are designed on executive cues.

The engines on offer are the 2.7l petrol and 2.5l diesel. The petrol churns out 190bhp at 4000rpm whereas the diesel offers 162bhp at 4000rpm. One thing assured from these engines is refinement. The performance is more than adequate. The overall ride quality and handling are really good keeping in mind the size of the car. Skoda is offering only the automatic transmission here and this takes a little fun away from the V6.

The space inside is what is mesmerizing, more importantly, the legroom which is enormous to say the least. The stability at high speeds and the braking is exemplary. There is not much of transfer of shock into the cabin thanks to the well-adjusted suspension. The plush interiors, loads of space and a long list of creature comforts makes it a good car to be driven around in. With so many advantages the value-for-money point is something that takes the cake.

The mileage figure is impressive and even though luxury does have its price, this definitely dominates a category created by itself called ‘affordable luxury’.
