Hello Reader,
I bought a Chevrolet Optra 1.6 in December 2004. I used it alot. Say i drove above 1 Lac Kms till date. Well the interiors in the begining look very appealing and state of the art. The materials used for Seats is not so good, as the drivers seat height contracted by inches over the period. The Power windows too started functioning not properly in the 4th year. Mileage was good in the begining, 10 in city and 16 on highways, it went down to 7-8 in the city and 10-12 on highways. the rubber packing ( rubber strips surrounding chrome grill and door sides) wear out early. Then my engine almost got jammed on fine day cuz of the carbon accumulated. i had serviced and did oil-change after every 10,000 kms without failure. That made me spend nearly 50,000. lastly, the car i bought for 8.50 lacs on road could not fetch more than 3 lacs when i sold it in July 2009, that was like 4 yrs 7 months.
