Hyundai achieves Record Sales this Month

Hyundai Motor India Ltd achieved record sales of 34,725 units in the domestic market this month which is the highest ever since the company started sales in September, 1998. This is also the first time that HMIL in the last four consecutive months has achieved over 50,000 units of sale cumulatively. HMIL’s total sales for October, 2010 stood at 52,225 units as against 51,735 units in October, 2009 registering an increase of 0.9%. The domestic sales accounted for 34,725 units as against 28,301 units in October, 2009 while the exports dipped by 25.3% from 23,434 units in October, 2009 to 17,500 units in October, 2010.

Hyundai Motor India Announces Price Hike up to 1.2 percent

Hyundai Motor India would be increasing the prices of its products by up to 1.2% across all models, from the 1st of September 2010. This increase is attributed to the increase in input costs. The Verna Transform (read road test here) is the latest offering from the Hyundai stable and the i10 and the i20 have certainly brought in the moolah for the company. Since the rise is across segments, the costs will of course still compete with the other manufacturers but only time will tell if the costing has made any difference to the sale of the car.

Hyundai Registers 24.2% Sales Growth in July

Hyundai Motor India Ltd registered its growth in the domestic sales by 24.2% over the same month last year.  HMIL’s total sales for July, 2010 stood at 50,411 units as against 45,539 units in July, 2009 registering a 10.7% cumulative growth over the same period last year. The domestic sales accounted for 28,811 units as against 23,193 units in July, 2009 while the exports declined by 3.3% from 22,346 units in July, 2009 to 21,600  units in July, 2010.

Hyundai offers Santro at decade-old price

Hyundai is offering its popular small car, the Santro, at Rs 2.99 lakh - the price that the car was originally launched at ten years ago, when it was first launched in the Indian market. As part of the scheme, Hyundai is offering free insurance, exchange bonuses and free car accessories on the purchase of a Hyundai.
