Aston Martin Rapide spotted in Mumbai

We had earlier posted that Aston Martin would soon be opening its showroom in Mumbai (read post here) and we also said that cars will soon be seen on the roads. We got to see one just the other day as it made its way to its rightful owner. Yes, envy does creep in, as you see the Rapide make a quick getaway, while you are stranded in a commuter car and making your way to work.

Ford to Launch 8 New Cars in India

Ford Motor Company will launch eight new vehicles in India by the middle of the decade as its plan to rapidly expand its presence in the fast growing market. Joe Hinrichs, president of Ford Asia Pacific and Africa (APA), made the announcement today during a keynote speech titled 'Managing Growth – Evolving Market Dynamics' at the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) Conference in New Delhi.

Aston Martin Coming Soon to Mumbai, India

Aston Martin is finally here and at a showroom near you in Mumbai! There’s hardly any car enthusiast who cannot identify this famous car marque with the famed ‘wings’ as its badge. This British Automotive company founded in 1913, already a hit around the world, is now quite literally spreading its wings into India. Aston Martin will have its first dealership open in the commercial capital of India, Mumbai, courtesy the folks at Infinity who currently are BMW dealers in Mumbai.

Maruti To Launch New Alto - Exclusive Pictures! (Now Launched)

Update: New Maruti Alto K10 is launched now. Maruti Suzkui India Ltd is all set to launch a new Alto in the next few days. As you can see from these exclusive pictures, the new Alto has a brand new tailgate flanked by rather shapely tail lamps. The rear of the car looks far more grown up than before thanks to the fact that the tailgate now sports the numberplate slot and there's a new rear bumper too. There's now the visual effect of the car being wider thanks to these simple cosmetic design tricks.The front has more shapely headlights which echo the tail lamp design theme as well as a new grill, bonnet and bumper. The rear windscreen is also Micra-esque and the car has a slight dash of retro with the tail lamps at the rear. This is the first real major facelift on the Alto since it was introduced a decade ago in India which sports so many new sheet metal and plastic parts.

All New Mercedes Benz E Class (W212) Coming This August

The all new ninth generation Mercedes Benz E-Class, the W212, will be available at your nearest Mercedes dealer by the end of this month.  Following the twin-eyes theme which we first saw on the W210 in 1999, this new car carries off the theme with a modern touch with its striking squared clear-lens headlamps. Styling is quite crisp and balanced giving the car a mini S class look. Also making a comeback, is the 80’s Mercedes aggression thanks to the more geometric styling with clean sharp lines – starting at the aggressive sinewy front end to the muscular haunches and ending at a fairly well styled - if somewhat conservative rear end.

Fiat Grande Punto - Spotted on test!

Fiat Grande Punto It’s difficult to miss a car like the Grande Punto even if you happen not to be a die-hard Fiat fan. From those Linea-esque headlamps to the very pronounced front grille, not to mention regular test – car zebra paint, the Punto’s you see in the picture did stick out like a sore thumb in peak hour Bangalore traffic. The three Punto’s were part of a countrywide road-test for reliability and shake-down in the real Indian driving conditions. As a car in the large hatchback category, the Punto is fairly well sized and is as large as the Indica Vista. This means that the Punto is roomy on the inside and the beige interiors certainly help give the interiors a pleasant and airy ambience.

M&M's Xylo to take on Innova from December

The Xylo from the Mahindra & Mahindra stable is set to storm the market in December and will be positioned between the company's current bestsellers, the Bolero and the Scorpio. The new vehicle, earlier codenamed Ingenio, has been developed completely in-house after the success of the Scorpio.
