Fiat and Suzuki Motor Corporation are continuing to expand their existing fruitful long term business relationship. The parties have reached a further agreement for the supply of Fiat’s 1.3-litre MultiJet 75bhp BS-IV Small Diesel Engine produced under license by Fiat India Automobiles Limited (FIAL), the joint venture between Fiat and Tata Motors, to Suzuki’s affiliate company Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL).

Suzuki has introduced the Kizashi with a new Sport variant in UK. It comes a with switchable 2/4WD as standard equipment. The Sport model features a host of external and internal modifications that include a muscular front fascia (with chrome accents) and lower grille; body side sill extensions; lower body side mouldings with chrome accents; custom lightweight 18-inch alloy wheels and a unique sport steering wheel with contrasting stitching for its leather seats, gear shift surround and parking brake boot.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 1,12,554 vehicles in November 2010.  This includes 10,051 units of exports. The company had sold 87,807 vehicles in November 2009. For the second consecutive month, the company crossed 1 lakh units sales mark in the domestic market in November 2010 with 1,02,503  units.

Maruti Suzuki Ritz clocked the fastest ever sales of 100,000 units today in the A-2 premium segment.  The car which was launched in May 2009 has to date sold one lakh units and the company is looking forward to more bookings this festive season.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited today announced the launch of a limited edition of Swift. The 'Swift One Million Edition' shall be available in a specially created Goldsmith Black colour and shall be loaded with smart and attractive features like graphics, special integrated stereo with USB and speakers, luxurious leather seats, cushions, foot-mats and an artistic decal on the exteriors.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited, sold a total of 104,791 vehicles in August 2010, growing 23.6 per cent in the month. This includes exports of 12,117 units. This is the highest ever monthly sales recorded by the company. The company had sold a total of 84,808 vehicles in August 2009.

Maruti Suzuki will unveil a special limited edition Ritz Genus to commemorate the first anniversary of Ritz model. The limited edition, Ritz Genus has a few added features which include: a brand new colour Emerald Blue. There will also be body coloured handles and rear view mirrors on the car.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited introduced India to its newest beast, the Kizashi, at the Auto Expo 2010 held in New Delhi. The car is expected to hit the showrooms in India later this year. The Kizashi is Suzuki’s attempt to get some attention in the highly lucrative large mid-size sedan segment across the world. Suzuki has till date launched four sedans, the Esteem, the Baleno, the SX4 and the Swift Dzire. The Kizashi will be its fifth.
